Thread: Going for it

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RawZuccSauce420</b></div><div>You think? Plattner (the owner) has been really lenient with Wilson over the years. If there's a mutual agreement to tank, I'd think he probably stays around given that last draft was solid.</div></div>

Kings were able to tank with the contract of Kopitar (10M) and Doughty (11M) so it's still not impossible...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Karlsson was declining probably due to injuries late in Ottawa tenure. Sharks made a mistake, giving up so much in a trade for one year rental. But then they compounded the problem (as GMs tend to do) is they felt it necessary to resign Karlsson so they could justify the trade. And even worse they added picks to the trade with the resigning.
Gee, 11.5m sure could've got you quality UFAs and kept the assets you traded to Ottawa. Admitting the Sharks went to the Cup final with EK, but it looks all downhill from now. Plus the Sharks have those horrid long term expensive contracts on declining players.....Couture, Vlasic, Burns and Karlsson and you might add Jones too.</div></div>

Hindsight, no one expected Sharks to give up a lottery pick in Tim Stutzle especially after their trip of the WCF. Neither parties involved in the trade predicted the amazing growth of Josh Norris(Trent Mann, the chief amateur scout of the Sens, initially saw Josh Norris as a 3C).

Literally the same outcome as the Sens when they unexpectedly parted way with what would become Sam Girard and Bowen Byram for a 1.5 years of Duchene.
