<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GirouxCrew</b></div><div>Laughton looks to be getting a 1st or a 2nd all on his own. Faksa is a cap dump compared to Laughton. Especially after a very strong worlds tournament. Risto was much better this year. Especially in the second half of the year after he learned the new system. Marchment played out of his mind on Florida last year on a stacked team. Might have been a fluke that he cashed in on. His contract might not age well. And as I said, Dallas still has the first round LHD they drafted last year and with Esa and Miro on the left and locked in long term Harley won’t have much room to climb the depth chart. And if I swap in Allison, all of those guys fit their current contention window very well.

This is more of a push to win now kind of move. And after getting so close this year they are gonna try to win sooner rather than later while Benn and Seguin are still producing</div></div>

They have a very long window ahead of them. Bourque, Stankoven, Johnston are going to be key core pieces to the offense and will all be better than Benn and Seguin currently are. Add to that Hintz, Robertson, Heiskanen, and Oettinger and you have one of the best cores in the NHL. In my opinion this means they wouldn't be looking to trade for players that are all downgrades. Again, Laughton could be a target for Dallas if they find the cap space but it wouldn't be a trade involving 4 players a side.

Also Heiskanen plays both sides and primarily right. Lindell is not playing first pair LHD so that means that left side is wide open for Harley to climb if he proves himself worthy
