The Devils wouldn't accept the Laughton trade. I think Laughton might have a good amount of value, but they wouldn't give up on Holtz for the Meier trade so they're definitely not for Laughton.

I don't think the Konecny trade is terrible, but I'd like to keep Frost. He showed flashes at the end of last year and looked really good in the 2nd half. i think he could become a 60+ point player still. Just a delayed trajectory because of injuries and covid.

Canes fans are gonna rip you for trading Scott "Makar" Morrow, I personally don't know enough about him I think a more likely scenario is a 3rd + younger roster player, the one I've been using for CBJ is Liam Foudy.

Not sure on the DAL trade. It's probably fairish taking into account the price of Cap dumping Faksa but DAL isn't really trading from a position of strength their because Lundkvist value has dimished since last year, and I'm not sure they'd want to give up on him after spending a first to get him a year later.

LAK wouldn't trade Byfield imo. He started to find his game in the latter part of the season

I don't think Dallas does that deal, from what I heard Lundqvist played pretty well after being dealt from the rangers. TDA isn't going to be with much more than picks at the trade deadline. He is still a useful pp guy but can be a liability at times in his own zone and needs to be paired with a higher end LHD to really keep him in check.

Canes pass. Bo interest in Hayes if the cost is morrow. Hayes finally had a healthy season, not risking him regressing for our best prospect

Blues don’t need wingers but I could get down with this if there were other moves on their end

I don't think Travis will be a player the blues look at right now. WE are good on wingers for next year and our biggest issue is our defense so any assets we have will go toward trying to fix that. Our wingers are a strength in our organization

No interest in Hayes at all, ESPECIALLY at the cost of Morrow. You'd need to retain half and then pay for a 2nd team to bring him down to a quarter for Carolina to have any interest, and you still won't get Morrow

Yeah I don’t think any of these trades are realistic. Some flyers easily lose and some they fleece

This is just false lol. Seravalli just said Carolina looked into Hayes heavy at the deadline if Flyers were willing to retain $2M. That’s not half and not a 2nd team also paying a quarter. But ur right about not getting Morrow back in the deal that wouldn’t happen

Bolduc I think is basically off limits at this point until we see him in the NHL.

They also reported Carolina looking at JvR, Nick Schmaltz, William Nylander, Travis Konecny, Bo Horvat, Ryan O'Rielly, Vladimir Tarasenko, Patrick Kane... stop. Carolina were linked with everyone at the deadline, and Waddell said there were no talks with Philadelphia at the deadline press conference in reference to Konency. That means nothing about JvR or Hayes. He admitted to the deep conversations with San Jose about Meier so he clearly wasn't hiding anything either before you say "oh GM's lie blah blah blah"

GMs lie literally every day at every press conference lol. Chuck Fletcher said he held talks with for Hayes and at the same time said there was “no market for JVR” when we know that is literally false and a dozen teams asked about him in reality the price Chuck was asking for was too high, so he lied. GMs lie all day and night why would they tip their entire hand to the media? Linked and talked to is different it was reported by local media at the time Carolina checked in on multiple flyers not just were linked to and then Seravalli basically just confirmed it the other day

Yet, Waddell, who was open about in the interest in Meier and even about the interest in Nick Schmaltz, denied going into conversations with Philly... say what you want about other GMs, Don is usually very forthcoming about what he was trying to do, and he basically said no. Not to mention, Friedman around the time of the deadline confirmed Carolina never had any conversations about a top 6 forward that wasn't named Timo Meier. You're clutching at straws here buddy. Stop, Canes do not want him

Well someone is lying then aren’t they 🤷🏼‍♂️ multiple reporters say they did have talks and multiple say they didn’t. GMs still lie on a constant basis lol even ur most forthcoming GM withholds the truth on a regular basis. No GM tips their entire hand it doesn’t happen

Waddell doesn't tip his hand, but after a deadline passes and he can no longer do anything, there's no reason to hide stuff. He's very open about how he operates, just no one that isn't a Canes fan listens

Sure bud you can believe the people you want to believe but someone is still lying lol. Seravalli is as tuned in as they come and I never saw a report from Freidge saying anything about Canes and Flyers so I’ll stick with Seravalli considering there’s no reason for him to lie or hide stuff

I'll trust Friedman and the GM of the Carolina Hurricanes... you go and hide with the reporter that has struggled to break stuff since the Kraken expansion draft.

I’d rather be patient with Nils, but that’s a pretty fair deal
