I have my doubts that Crouse goes for basically just a first. Engvall is a decent player but he's not a player the Coyotes will be targeting IMO.

Ending the Chychrun charade once and for all
I think you're in the right ballpark for Chychrun. If the reports from Marek and Friedman are that the asking price from Florida is Lundell, Knight and a first then it will hurt.
In his short time as a GM, Bill Armstrong names his price and has willingly waited for that price to be paid before he moves the player.

Trading OEL is going to make this team worse. No question about that.
Other than that, I don't think Gardiner signs for that number. I'd say he's looking at least $6 million per on a shorter term deal probably.

Since when does this have to be 100% accurate. It's just what I think could happen. Even if they do sign him, they can still loan him out to a team in the Swedish Elite League.

Coyotes trade is H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E.
Hammer has been their 2nd best dman the past two years and the team is moving towards more of a transition/speed game rather than a heavy game. Marleau is the exact opposite of what they want. The only way Arizona takes on Marleau is if he comes with a roster player and is basically a cap dumb as his buyout is nasty.

4 years for McAvoy takes him right to UFA
JFK will not be on the bruins next year
Mojo will get more money and term. Likely a 4x4.2 deal or something like that
Rest looks good though. Not sure about Kuhlman on line 2, think they’ll try to find someone else through trade or FA, or Studnicka will play there.</div></div>
JFK is not in the lineup anywhere??? I just resigned him as a depth piece.

Kessel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>not_murp</b></div><div>You should not be giving Wayne Simmonds that much money. There are many UFA wingers you can get at cheaper value that are better than Simmonds.</div></div>

As an Arizona fan, where is Lawson Crouse? He's not going to put up the same numbers as Simmonds but he does the same thing for the most part, bring that mean, physical presences the rest of the team is missing.
Arizona gets hosed in the Kessel trade. I understand he's a great goal scorer but he controls his own destiny for the most part and it's pretty well known that he really only wants to play for Pittsburg or Arizona at this point.
For Minnesota, don't think Arizona does that trade. Most of their prospects have graduated by now/been traded so the cupboard is looking a little dry for quality prospects, no sense in trading their 1st round pick for the 2nd time in 3 years. Also Goligoski has worked quite well for them and I'm not dismissing Spurgeon as a good player, but it's a fairly lateral move. Remember, Coyotes quietly had a very good season defensively, top 5 or so, so there's no real reason to break up the d-corps for now.

Yea I get that, it's just hard to see why Krejci would want to move on from the Bruins and why they'd want to move on from him.
101 points in 125 playoff games so far.
73 points in 81 games this year to tie his career high from his rookie year.
The one-two punch of Bergeron and Krejci is dynamic and there's no need to break it up.

You'd have to give up a lot more for Krejci than that. Krejci might be slowing down a tad but he just tied his career high in points this season and he's always been one of the best playoff performers.

Murray has battled injuries throughout his career and Milano is struggling to find himself in the NHL so unless Trouba tells Winnipeg that he won't resign then I think they pass on this deal without another incentive.

Trouba would be nice but not realistic. Also, not sure why we're giving up on Stepan. He's one of our only true centers on the team.

If that's what Toronto want's then there's no chance the trade goes through, Crouse has been one of our best players this year and one of our only physical guys.

I don't think Arizona does that trade. Now that they've really started to turn a corner and him and OEL have formed a solid first pairing, I'd say they'd need to be blown away by an offer to trade Hammer and even if so they probably still wouldn't.

Bruins don't really have a need for Schaller anymore with Wagner, Accari, and Kuraly rolling as the 4th line so I don't see why they'd take him back. Plus they have a bunch of young guys trying to crack the roster so there's no reason to clog the system with 13th forwards.

Doesn't matter that Zaitsev 'might' be better than Demers, he's still more valuable to Arizona than he would be in any trade. Plus, he's shown that he can play with OEL from time to time if he needs to.
Overall, the Yotes have a good defense right now and yes EK would be a nice add, he's not the ideal guy I'd love for them to go after in free agency (they've also spent lots of picks over the past couple of years on defensive prospects). No reason to trade Stepan as well, he's exactly what Arizona needs and Schmaltz isn't a great center.

Not a chance Arizona gives up Stepan without getting something really valuable in return. Stepan matters way more to Arizona then he matters to them as a trade chip and with no apparent #1/2C to take his place in the coming year or so, no reason to trade him.
