I think theres a fit for DOMI in BUF
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stanley_Cup_To_Manhattan</b></div><div>You think a player who had 40 points is worth a player one who has the potential of 40 goals? a potential 2C? a potential top 4 D? Domi is stale, he cools off with Arizona, gets dealt. heats up in MTL, cools off. Shopped again. It's unreasonable and if that's the price we don't want to be the suckers to pay it. We all thought that Kapanen deal is asinine when we saw it. I can't wait till MTL deals him for pennies on the dollar. I'll see you then.</div></div>
Domi is fricking 25 years old who is one year removed from scoring 70+ points. But I guess he'll be a 40 point player from now on. BTW, the last 8th overall pick to have hit 40 goals is *checks notes* Jeremy Roenick, drafted in 1988. Let's see how Buffalo will be able to change that.

I think so too. He had one down year really, but he had a very good save percentage in the 6 years before that.
Buffalo only has one goalie signed and he would be cheap with the Wild taking half of it. I'd only trade him because I am a believer in Kähkönen

Suzuki looking good on wing rn. Don't think he moves over IMO. Similar to Nylander situation. I think KK would benefit a lot playing under Kopitar. Similar aspects when drafted and can learn a lot.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Khalenix</b></div><div>I dk man... when I look at the lines, they have Crosby and Malkin and all, but except that I feel like they don't have much deepness. Feel like the departure of Kessel and Hornqvist aging really hit them this year. OH! And the D !
Am I wrong?</div></div>
Yes. Rust has shown himself to be a legit top 6 forward, McCann is becoming a solid Top 6 and really good 3C with Crosby back, Kahun has more goals at this time of the season than he did last season at this time in Chicago and he had a really good year last year. Penguins defense is a lot better than people think. Letang Dumo remains one of the best D pairings in the league, Marino has been a stud and is primed for the 2nd pairing RHD next year. Petterson is still solid and JJ has actually been playing fine thus far. The penguins are a lot better than most people think. Just because we dont have big name forwards outside of our top 4 which is fine but these guys are playing just fine

I understand if you're not a fan, and you dont watch many pens games it may seem like they lack depth. But... with the contributions from McCann, Kahun, Tanev, Rust, Simon, etc.. who have all played exceptionally well this season, I would argue this is the deepest pens team we've had since our cup runs. When fully healthy, I wouldn't be surprised to see a fourth line of:
ZAR-Bjustad-Hornqvist because there isn't much space in the top 9. Maybe Simon and Hornqvist could switch places but Guzental-Crosby-Simon formed a really nice line this year when healthy.

MTL trade

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Khalenix</b></div><div>Really? I mean as a habs fan I would do that trade in a minute, I'm surprised Gost isn't worth more than that!</div></div>
As a quick answer I would have accepted too, but after reading Mitch Brown evaluating top MTL prospects, maybe we have to think about it. Browns rank Ylönen and Brook as 3rd and 4th best prospects. His ranking is based on identifying potential top-of-the-lineup players, so even if those two guys aren't NHL ready like Romanov, they have a higher ceiling.
I would still accept the trade because Ghost be the QB on PP for MTL for a long time at a good price. MTL have also Fleury and Juulsen pushing at RD and they just drafted Caufield at RW. Ylönen and Brook are promising 2nd picks, but they are unproved NHLers.

Laine out
I think the Sabres trade is interesting because it does seem like they're trying to offload Risto while his trade value is high. Apparently, his career is seeing remarkably similar trajectory to Jack Johnson's, so voodoo magic says they need to offload him asap.
I'd be careful trading for Risto. This trade could swing heavily in one team's favor or the other, unless all the players end up flopping, which is nearly impossible.
I'm also not sure that the Habs would trade for Kulikov, but that looks like one of those trades where it's "any team who'll take him for a moderate return".

I definitely think it's more likely then him sitting out the year. The later this thing goes, the more reasonable it becomes I think.

Brodin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurgerBoss</b></div><div>Imo value-wise that's pretty good offer, but it seems that MIN is after a TOP6 forward prospect. They simply put don't need Lehkonen or Juulsen. As far as I know, MIN already have middle-6 left wingers pretty much solved, so Lehkonen doesn't bring anything too big to the table.
And as for Juulsen, the story is pretty much the same - MIN already has a good amount of RHDs with Dumba, Spurgeon, Pateryn and some young guns in Belpedio and Johansson.
Suzuki would be ideal solution. He's a C/RW which MIN needs and he plays from the right side.
I'd like to ask <a href="/users/TanSor" target="_blank">@TanSor</a> 's opinion on this, too. They know better than I do about Wild's situation.</div></div>
Our of all MTL's prospects, Suzuki is who I like most and who I'd ask for for Brodin. Since we just got Donato (who will be starting at LW tonight), I can't see us getting another LW, but I could possibly see us wanting Juulsen since he'd be a nice complimentary RD behind Dumba.
The value is definitely there, but I think Lehkonen is the deal-breaker for us saying no.
