That says a lot about the poor state of that franchise.

Paying 8th overall for a one dimensional player isn't gonna improve the franchise

Yes because drafting top ten players and not develloping them has made wonders for that city in the last 10 years 🙄

I don’t know how Montreal making the playoffs has anything to do with the fact that Buffalo didnt qualify for postseason in the last 10 years, but ok Bud.

Keep doing the same thing and pray next year will be different 😂

We've sucked, I know?? Doesn't change the fact you aren't getting 8th overall for Domi, keep dreaming! 😘 I'd be open to moving 8th overall but not for a one dimensional player like Domi

You can't use a GM with obvious mental incapacity to establish the value in the market.

Dude seriously it's a bad look for you guys to believe the 8th overall pick is worth Max Domi. Come on now, it's nonsense. Don't be like Toronto.

It's not what I believe (ok I totally believe it but...), it's the state of the market.

Speaking of Toronto, if Kapanen is worth a 15th+, Domi could realistically be trade for an 8th.

Not so hard to wrap your head around...

You think a player who had 40 points is worth a player one who has the potential of 40 goals? a potential 2C? a potential top 4 D? Domi is stale, he cools off with Arizona, gets dealt. heats up in MTL, cools off. Shopped again. It's unreasonable and if that's the price we don't want to be the suckers to pay it. We all thought that Kapanen deal is asinine when we saw it. I can't wait till MTL deals him for pennies on the dollar. I'll see you then.

Sorry, but when has Bergevin ever sold a player off for pennies on the dollar? pretty sure his trade record is pretty solid for sending guys out for good deals.

I think Domi forces out. Why play 4C minutes when he can get dealt to a immediate contender, get paid long-term, and get the center minutes he wants?

What contending team plays him as a center? That what he wants to be, a top 6 center, which the Habs in abundance after years of not having any. Plus that fact makes him even more valuable. You're trading him as a top 6C not a top 6W. Dont think he is worth 8th overall but he is definitely going to bring back a god return

If you think an RFA winger with a 44 pts record season is worth more than a RFA center with a 72 pts record season, I think you lack basic understanding of GMs work.

Bro. I just mentioned that trade was PATHETIC. Kapanen is worth a late first at best! GM's "work" doesn't consist of overpaying because he a good season BEFORE. Stop using Kapanen as an example. it was a stupid overpay by a narrow-minded radical moron.

Domi is fricking 25 years old who is one year removed from scoring 70+ points. But I guess he'll be a 40 point player from now on. BTW, the last 8th overall pick to have hit 40 goals is *checks notes* Jeremy Roenick, drafted in 1988. Let's see how Buffalo will be able to change that.

25-years-old and on his third team eh! He spoils like milk out of the refrigerator. Way to acknowledge my boy Holtz. Doesn't seem like you want the pick anyway.

The fact that the 8th worst team was playing 4C minutes in the PLAYOFFS is very telling. What JR gave up for Kapanen should be the exception, not the ordinary. Domi is not getting 8 lol

The only reason I want to trade Domi is because we have a logjam at centre, not because he would not be a good player. Can't say the same about Buffalo who are still hoping with their fingers crossed that their last 8th overall pick would become anywhere close to the player Domi is right now and fill the void they have at that position.
