Lundkvist is an A prospect puck-moving RhD who has fulfilled his first-round selection; Stranges is a B prospect at best. The question will be whether you want three A-prospect centers or two A-prospect centers plus an A-prospect defenseman.

bUstS who still have skill
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>canucksfan43</b></div><div>Bro half of these guys have barely played in the NHL and have been solid when they have i.e. Knight, Podkolzin, Wahlstrom, etc. you cant call them busts cause they arent PPG players or something unreal after 1 or 2 years</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Thomson is still developing. A Dman who’s only 21 can’t be labeled anything yet. He’s been solid</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vapodz</b></div><div>podkolzin has only played 1 full season, and he showed lots of promise
don't think he can be called a bust yet</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks</b></div><div>to get the bust label i think you have to wait until a guy is 25 or out of the league.
Anaheim's Troy Terry could have been labeled a bust till this year.
Mason Marchment with Dallas and Alexander Barabanov Sharks were virtual unknowns till they were 26.
some guys just need more time to develop.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IconicHawk</b></div><div>Yeah I think we can officially classify Patrick as a bust</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>That's not really what's meant by bust but you did explain in your description but it's too general of a definition, you could include any prospect or even young star players like Pettersen, Laine, or veterans like Tavares who didn't have that great of a year.
Patrick due to injuries is a bust, Juolevi, and Howden, and by a loose definition like yours maybe include chytil, dach and Laffy and Kakko although Laffy did shows improvement even within last year so he's a breakout candidate in reality. Carter Hart is a guy that you can expect more from, but as far as I can tell the rest of guys shouldn't be there at all especially if they played less than 100 games in the NHL, and no more than 3 seasons, and are 23 or younger. Plus, they must be expected not to reach the potential that they were expected to reach when drafted.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KooKoo4Kaapo</b></div><div>How is laf a bust? Or even Kakko?</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>I get you're trying to get engagement, but there are a TON of stretches on this list.
Podkolzin & Dylan Cozens both were everyday players who put up solid numbers for middle-6 guys this year, so I'm sure both teams are happy with that. Lassi Thomson put up 11-28-39 in 79 AHL GP since coming over from Europe in the middle of last season, and even looked okay with 5 points in 16 NHL games as a 21 year old. Ville Heinola probably feels old because he made his debut pre-COVID, but he's just 21 and still has time to grow. Cal Foote played 52 games for the defending Cup champs last season, so I think he's developing in a more sheltered role but has to be considered someone progressing well. Nils Lundkvist made his NHL debut in his first NA season and held his own at both levels. Quinton Byfield had some injury issues but literally *just* turned 20 so he's got a ton of runway.
Then you've got guys that are less "busts" and more "need to show something big this year" like the Rangers quartet, Ollie Wahlstrom, Nicolas Beaudin, Kirby Dach, Kupari, and Spencer Knight. The only guys I feel comfortable are saying look like busts are Juolevi (5OA in 2016), Nolan Patrick (2OA in 2017 but it's more injuries than ineffectiveness), and Howden (27OA in 2016 so it's not like the ceiling was -that- high)</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>Yeah Lassi Thomson is a top 5 prospect in Ottawa's system. Absolutely wild having him on this list.</div></div>

I think it’s too early to label Laf as a bust, though he has been disappointing to start his career. I think time is running out for Kakko though because he was a second overall pick who has 58 career points in 157 career games. That’s not great

A non-denial means very little. It could be a legal strategy. It could be a lot of things.
Remember, this was a civil case that was already settled out of court. There is no criminal case. That means there will be no discovery process and no cross-examination. The settlement could also include non-disclosure agreements for all sides to discuss case publicly.
Best not to single out any player until more is known.

Surprise X factor for next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>No chance Winnipeg gives up that much to help Toronto solve their cap issues.</div></div>
he's a 24 year old UDFA with 52 points in 153 career AHL games (spread over 4 years). He's a warm body at this point. I think that Leafs fans thinking that they're getting back a 2nd+ for Kerfoot are insane, too, but this is incredibly reasonable. Basically swapping contracts so Winnipeg can add a player better than pretty much anyone left out in UFA right now.

The price is fine, but doesn't fill a need. They already have a better small offensive LD coming up, and 6 NHL level LDs in total.

Detoxify and improve the Jets
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AG_sweden</b></div><div>Not after the season he had this season. But he is a all time point leader for d men in SHL for players under 21 years in the history of SHL. So if he has an decent start lets say point per game in AHL or 0.4 point per game in NHL he is. So he has some pedigree that is what I am saying. But I understand the hesitance based on last year, I do. But that is what I think Drury's price is, if I am honest.</div></div>
Solid analysis my friend. I remember hearing so much hype around Lundkvist a couple years ago, and even though last year wasn't tooo bad of a year for him, I think if he has a good start like you said, he'll improve his stock immensely.

Jets do this in a heart beat. Ves won't play for the Jets again, and its a toss up if he'll ever get another NHL contract. No idea what people are smoking around here. He wasn't even that good in the A.
Now why NJ would do that, that's another question lol feel like you could get more than that from a Johnsson trade

Because I'll be honest, I think it would be closer to Lucic and a 2nd for future considerations.</div></div>
Considering there's only 1 million in actual money left to be paid out on Looch's contract it wouldn't cost a 2nd. More like a 3rd.
Better yet make it Lucic + 1st + 2nd/3rd for Lawson Crouse.
