<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Davisoc</b></div><div>THANK YOU! I will never understand this obsession with Tanev, the league has several players like him that preform better and are less injury prone.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Laynious</b></div><div>No, No, No.

Maybe I missed the meeting where they handed out the "Tanev Kool-Aid". WHY oh WHY are people so crazed about this guy??? I have seen him play many, many times......Hes a dependable D man (when he isn't injured, which is a lot) so I'll give you that. But you are willing to give up 2 firsts and 2 NHL players for him?? This is crazy.</div></div>

I think everyone knows my stance on our D and my unwillingness to chase after a stud Dman. I like what we have at home.

If we are having issues.. could be performance, could be injuries. I think Tanev would be the right type of D to go after. I don’t want any offensive D at all. Ability to move the puck and a sound Dzone guy. Vancouver is in the right situation to retain 50%. If we do not need him next season he would be an easy move at 2.2m. I could see this being more of a deadline type of move or even mid season. I think if we need to go after someone they have to be able to retain salary and be easily moved. I think Tanev meets all those requirements. Only had 8 teams on his m-ntc.

But to reconfirm what I already stated I have no reason to believe that our D core won’t be solid this year.

Please stop trading away our team for guys that will never get moved or guys that are horrible in their own end.
