Turning this ship around

You have to understand one thing Adams isn't trading these young guys. Kulich is a sniper and Adams tried trading up to get him and when he couldn't move up got lucky and Kulich dropped in his lap.
I wasn't dumping on Batherson just going on Adams track record. When Meier was available, once one of Savoie or Kulichs names were brought up as part of the trade he dropped out.

I could agree if the Sabres were to get wind that other team(s) want to move to NJ's spot and there is a player they really want Adams might do it.

Sabres struggled scoring goals this year they aren't trading Kulich. I'd be ok trading Samuelsson if an equally young RHD were available.
Both of the Sabre players are under control for a long time...hard seeing Adams trade them at this point.

Getting Younger
First Nelson has to waive
Second Sabres aren't giving up two young guys (both firsts) plus a 3rd for a guy that will probably leave after a year here as I'm sure he would go cup hunting
Would I like Nelson yes, but not at that cost for a year

I don't see Adams moving either one without playing at least 1 season in Buffalo.

That's why I said I think his contract will give us a hint what the future holds. If they d*ck him around like they did Reino he's close to gone after next year.
What would you do, sign him to free agency or do you buy a year of free agency.

There are maybe 5% of the players in the league that are untouchable but in this case I'll agree with <a href="/users/AntiAnalytics" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@AntiAnalytics</a>, UPL is untouchable until Levi proves he is ready to be our #1 goalie or a top veteran goalie is coming back in return for UPL. Right now I don't think UPL is going anywhere but we'll see this off season what the contract looks like in terms of term and money...that may be a telling sign what Adams is thinking long term

hoping for another BU center to save us
Not sure on that Sea trade for one reason...Borgen can bolt after one season. I'm not a fan of trading for a player with a year left to free agency and give up something of value.
I can't see Adams making a trade like this.

It's cheaper to buy Anderson out in 2025 so Pegs would like that...lol
Adams gets a 1st and 2nd rd pick and a young RHD so he likes that

Sabres 25 Wired
It's all elementary bc Skinner isn't waiving to go to the west coast which is far from home...and by home I mean where he comes from and not Buffalo. That was a reason he signed here plus 9 mil other reasons.

I would think TK would want an 8 yr contract so I don't think so bc that would put them in another Jeff Skinner situation...granted TK brings more to the table as a player.

Blues Potential Targets
Doubt Adams trades 6 yrs of a young D for 3 yrs at around 50% higher cap hit besides some 8 yrs difference in age.
If Samuelsson is traded, being a young guy who hasn't reached his prime yet it will be for a young RHD in the same age range.
If Adams trades for an older experienced RHD he's not giving up a young guy like Samuelsson

How do we pay them all ?
He CLEARLY answered that, as we are UNDER THE CAP in this ACGM- that btw, is MUCH BETTER than what i see you put out
And how do we play them all ?
Well…. just look at the lines ffs
It’s not that complicated dude
Again…. WOW</div></div>
You're right in that it work for 1 yr till Byram gets paid and then the following year Anderson and Tuch get paid. Also ECL contracts will be expiring for Peterka and Quinn.
Skinner would have to be bought out after next season and hopefully the cap goes up again to make this work past one season.
But as far as this working short term I agree.
Do you keep Anderson past the 2 yrs, (actually 1 yr bc they'd have to make a decision if they want to go into his last year before he becomes an UFA). Andersson knows he has been short changed and is going to want his career contract. Would it be wise to invest 35-40 mil in 4 D-men.
After getting Byram, I think Adams goes for a lesser RHD if he even does.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AntiAnalytics</b></div><div>Peters isn’t an “insider”
He just makes crap up that sounds good- like how we were signing Pat Kane to a multi year deal
And Mitts wasn’t traded for a goalie, like he was supposedly being “shopped for”
Adams tried to sign Mitts to a bridge deal
Mitts wanted big $$ for long term, so Adams decided to trade him bc a $7mil 3C would’ve limited our Cap Space w Quinn & Peterka (and others) coming up
If Mitts would’ve been ok with a bridge deal, he’d have gone nowhere- but he demanded the Tage/Cozens deal, so he was traded</div></div>
It wasn't Peters
