And then you moved on to get an underwhelming return for Eichel. You wanted big returns for Eichel and Hall, laughed about Rangers fans offers, just to get similar returns in both trades. Maybe those mock trades werent´t that far from reality?

Lafreniere to MTL What do you want NYR fanbase
Since February of 2021 Laf has the most even strenght goals out of any NYR, more than Zibanejad, Panarin or Kreider. He is tied 3rd for even strenght goals in his first 100 games out of any 1st overall picks the last 15 years. That does not mean he has been a superstar, but it shows that his low point totals are a product of his poorly deployment and TOI. He looks very good on our first line and it feels like a breakout in terms of PPG is about to happen very quickly.

FAIR Eichel trade to NYR
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LGuy54</b></div><div>Lundkvist isn't really a throw in, but I don think he is Boqvist level just yet</div></div>
While this is true, us Rangers fans are simply not comfortable giving up so many valueable pieces. I mean there is a decent amount of Rangers fans who would be willing to part with Zibanejad as a tradepiece altough he is beloved by the fans. And giving up Kakko + other prime pieces is something I would only do if he was guaranteed fully healthy at the start of the season without any future neck issues.

No question. But if Boqvist is considered a top prospect, I don´t know why Lundkist is always just a throw-in

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LGuy54</b></div><div>Eichel starts with Kakko, Seth Jones got a top prospect in return, so can Eichel</div></div>
The problem is that there is a difference between Boqvist and Kakko in value. Boqvist is a closer to Lundkvist than to Kakko in terms of quality.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>I think Adams is looking for forward pieces if he was to trade Jack. Strome + blue chip forward piece + 2022 1st + another good prospect is probably in the range of value. Honestly Laf is probably the player Adams would target. Whether or not a trade can be worked out with him coming to Buffalo is another question</div></div>
Honestly a trade involving Laf would be a no go for me. There was a lot of hype around Laf before his draft, and while his rookie season was a bit underwealming it was far from the performance of Kakko during his rookie season. The question becomes what Lafs ceilling is going to be and how much more value Eichel has. And Laf is under team control for at least 7 more years, while 2 of them are on an ELC cap hit. While Eichel gets undervalued in a lot of trade proposals, I believe the same applies for Lafreniere and therefore I would never include him. We would have to give up way more than just him and I´m just not comfortable with it

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jnowariak</b></div><div>I think you’re right. I also think the Chytil deal would be close but it would be dependent on Parise or Zuccarello moving. And can you tell me why Strome is being shopped as a 2C yet the Rangers are looking for one as well? That really brings his value down imo.</div></div>
Strome is already 27 and is not really a player in the long term plan of the Rangers. With Mika also 27 our Top 6 centers would be way older than the future blue line and the wingers. We really need somebody who is young and can be a very solid 2nd or even 1st line center. Cirelli would be such a guy (And obviously Strome is worse than Cirelli). Unfortunately there is no guarantee that Chytil really becomes that 2nd line center.

NYR gives: Chytil + 1st + 2nd
MIN gives: Bjugstad + 1st</div></div>
TBH I can´t see the rangers trading Chytil. Its not like he is so extremly valuable that you would never trade him but I belive they really like him and believe that he will become a very good Top 6 player. If they trade a center this offseason it would be Strome IMO

In my opinion Pefetti is a high risk factor in such a trade. He could become an amazing 2nd or even 1st line center, but IMO he could also end up as a 3rd line center. If we would own that pick already i would be ok with drafting him, but I would never give up that much to draft him. I would then trade for WPG or NSH 1st and draft Lundell. Just my opinion

I don´t think that that Laines value is that high. He could have a extremly high ceilling, but it is very possible that he will never reach it. He is bad defensivly and his playmaking isn´t that great (although its improved this year). If he hits his full potential he will be worth a lot, but he is a big risk for any team giving up that much.

Lucic plays like 12 minutes a night, so how many games is that playing together you ask? I dont know like 50 games. For a 18 year old at the time to process the game at McDavids level will take more than 20 games. A monkey can process the game as fast a Lucic.</div></div>
And why hasn´t he produced together with Draisaitl or RNH? And why was Lucic productive his first year with McDavid? Also it doesn´t matter how many games he has played with him, the ice time is all that matters. Your only using that argument bc you lost out on the ice time argument...

Would Kreider be an option for you (move Guentzel or him to RW)? I guess the Rangers would have to retain 1-1.5 Mio if they want to move him bc of Laffy. But he checks all the boxes. He is one of the fastest players in the league, he is big and physical.

He already played with McDavid and hasn´t produced. And like Anderson he has had a productive year in Sweden. What would make Puljujarvi valuable. He is a big risk for every team who trades for him and bc if that nobody gives you guys like Kakko,...
