Since you came back from March 9th, could you give me the Lotto Max winning numbers from March 8th? Please. lol
Separately, not a fan of Rakell's contract of an additional 4yr @ $5mil

Actually, I put in the incorrect values initially (used wrong amount of season remaining) so the calculator puts the value of the retention at 146th overall pick or 5th round, pick 18.
Inputs:
$1.25 million annual cap hit traded
21.875% of the season remaining on trade deadline day
So the trade with retention would be a 2nd and a 5th.

Now somebody will make an ACGM .... "DNVR Sharks - Blue Jackets trade" with no Avs trade.

If I have used the <em>PuckPedia Salary Cap Relief Calculator</em> correctly, the $1.25mn retention is worth the 64th overall pick.
Edit: correction it would be 146th overall as it is only 21.875% of the season remaining on TDL day (added post below with correct inputs)

Perfetti probably needs a game in the pressbox to reset. Worked well for Schmidt earlier in the season.

Trade deadline Moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Riddick19</b></div><div>It would be a scenerio where Winnipeg might want a veteran for the PK at dirt cheap, and playoff experience for a run this season. They could definitely find better for sure, but if at last minute they're looking for a guy willing to block shoits and throw the odd bodycheck? Hamonic would be an option but again only if for $600K</div></div>
The problem is next year as Hamonic's NMC means no waivers and no minors, so the Jets would have to incur dead cap by buying him out in the offseason or waste a roster slot on him.

Flames trades
Using The Athletic's draft pick valuation table the Flames would have to add BUF 3rd round pick just to make it even, so the return to WPG would be BUF 3rd, CGY 3rd, NJD 4th, CGY 5th
I'd rather the Jets use MTL 2nd round pick to help in this year's playoffs or just make the pick instead of trading it away.

I don't think Ehlers will be trade bait at the 24-25 deadline. I believe he will be extended in the offseason or if in the off chance he wants to leave, then he is traded.

Tough to question, but just seems to need more of a welcoming atmosphere and not such a get every last dollar possible. Got to get a little more creative with give aways and thankful for the fans. A little too taken for granted, but a work in progress that can be fixed.</div></div>
I remember one game in the early years, that they gave out bags of tim horton's ground coffee as you left the building. :D

Some of the other rinks seem a little more entertained to see you. Possibly all in my head, but now that I have read some of the fan complaints, it kind of dons on me, the differences.</div></div>
The vibe is like you are going through an airport built in the 40s. Very utilitarian... get in the building, get a coffee, find your seat, watch.

Jets shouldn't. Hamonic has a full NMC, so that means no waivers and no minors next season so you are stuck with him on the roster as 7/8D. This is OTT Hamonic, not NYI or VAN Hamonic.

Last push before relocation
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>Simple math on this also, ownership investment from rink/condos/cut from shark club, and whatever else they have downtown, simply doesn’t overly work without the 40 dates a year jets. But let’s say they put the team on the market to be moved, league isn’t going to allow Quebec City period, only option is probably North Toronto new rink, but between Ottawa, and Toronto, that wouldn’t be allowed either. So for the sale route, min price would be a billion, move it to a location with a newish rink, probably another 1/2 billion. 1/2 billion into the club, sitting there with a 2 billion ish investment and what cities evaluation going to ensure at least a 2 plus billion evaluation? Along with the fact that all the other owners much prefer splitting 3/4 of a billion expansion fee over any relocations. Owners better not cry wolf too many times, but this one may work, as long as they make some changes along with the corporate crowd, got to toughen up that ticket, instead of such a soft ticket, never should have killed the secondary market, and some of the other markets that could prop up the demand on tickets when it is lagging. From a die hard jets fan</div></div>
I didn't realize (until looking it up) that True North Square, when completed, will be 1.5 million square feet of office, hotel, residential, retail, food hall, parking and public plaza space in five towers. The office tower would be fine without the Jets, but the others wouldn't fare so well.

Schmidt has played like a 3rd pairing defenseman, no better, no worse. Its just that his contract is inefficient. I think his position on the Jets is safe for this season.
