BEAGLE BITES
I would rather stick needles in my eyes than add Beagle for anything less than him at 50% retained for a conditional 7th round pick in 2027. Im pretty sure Beagle would be on waivers this year if it weren't for the fact that Arizona needs players with cap on the team to be compliant.
This is a bad trade for Montreal. It would make more sense to trade Lehky and Kulak individually for picks and sign a UFA like Bozak instead.

Poehling. His name is Ryan Poehling.
Not sure why so many are forgetting about him. He's a natural center. Former 1st rounder. Had great season last year in AHL and is poised for callup.
If KK is not matched and no new centre is brought in, Poehling is a player no one should sleep on. he'll get big minutes with good linemates right off the hop here.

KK will get destroyed by the media and fans if Bergy matches.
Best bet. Let him walk and take the picks. Let his QO screw over the Canes next season. Let Waddell's revenge boomerang back and smack him in the back of his head.
Then offer sheet Necas.

He's been doing good things since he's GM. Sergachev for Drouin is the only thing I'd reverse. Most of the time it seems like bad moves (Galchenyuk for Domi, Chiarot 3x3.5) but he always proves wrong. Meanwhile, this summer :
In during the offseason.
➡️ Josh Anderson
➡️ Tyler Toffoli
➡️ Joel Edmundson
➡️ Alexander Romanov
➡️ Jake Allen
Out during the offseason
➡️ Max Domi
➡️ Dale Weise
➡️ Christian Folin
➡️ Keith Kinkaid

Partypoopers will call him old when he is a on a 3 years - 40pts streak.
Until he looses all his speed, and his skate is as good as it gets, that AAV is a cheap deal.
A 750,000$ raise, come on guys🙄

Lehkonen is a key core player for this team, regardless of his offensive numbers.</div></div>
In the Pittsburgh serie, I read Lehk was on the ice for 16 minutes against Crosby and Malkin. Crosby scored 2 goals only. I don't know much about advanced statistics, but they must be pretty good.
He might not put on as much points as we would want, but a $2M player you can
A) Neutralise the best players in the league.
B) match with less reliable fowards, allowing them to take more risk offensively.
That gives him a big value.

Canadiens playoff lines hopefully
I would have swap Drouin and Lehkonen. Drouin's experience at RW with Montreal wasn't good while Lehkonen has proved to be a better fit.
Also, it would give KK and Danault's lines a better offence/defense balance.

Using cap space and picks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MNBassman</b></div><div>Finally, a Habs fan who gets Domi’s value...</div></div>
? The guy is young and a 50-70 point player. I think a B-level prospect and a second round pick is not going to be enough.
Look, I get it. For some reason, everyone thinks that Habs fans are annoying. I personally see "out there", "pie-in-the-sky" deals and trades for all teams on this site, not just the Canadiens. Fans typically overvalue their own players (it's common). It'll be fun to see what the Canadiens do wih Domi, just as it's fun to see what all teams do with their players. The one thing I do know: I'm not a GM. One thing that I strongly think I know: you are not a GM either. :)

Hey DET fans what exactly is on the table
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldmanWebber</b></div><div>All fans are bias towards their teams players, but the asking price I see on here from Detroit fans for Mantha is laughable. He has never had a 50 point season and is a minus player more often then not. Other than being big what is he? Montreal does need some size up front but this is not a player that I would give up KK or Caufield or even Domi for let alone our first this year.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BorisBagel</b></div><div>Overpayment by Habs, Mantha is not worth all that ...
maybe Domi and the 2nd</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>I'm simply pointing out what he has done in his career.
There was a Detroit fan who wanted KK, a top 10 pick, another good prospect and another pick for him in this very thread. Its wild</div></div>
True.
But, I woud agree Mantha has way more to give than just points (Personnally I'd rather him over Larkin)
I would say MTL fans overvalue Domi greatly - I don't think he has a spot at centre on this team and I wouldn't blame DET fans for not being interested in him... remember he had his worst performances in that 4-0 sweep DET gave to MTL this past season...
It is interesting that DET fans seem to value KK the least? I'm guessing it's because we skipped on Zadina. But, KK had an excellent rookie season (better than Hughes and Kakko...) , playing as the youngest player in the league, then everything that could go wrong in 2019-2020 did; from his 16 pounds gained on his lanky build and his awkward camp, his early season concussion, to the spleen injury later on. He's played two seasons and he's still a teenager. He's already exceeded expectations when he was first drafted - I'm not the least bit worried.
Then, everyone seems to overvalue Caufield. He's got tremendous upside. But, he's a big wildcard, his one skill is shooting, if he can't translate that to the NHL, he'll be considered a bust.
Agreed, for this year's draft, they won't trade the 9th overall, goes without saying they won't trade the 1st.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>I didn't mean from Montreal I just meant in general. Anyone will sign an OS IF 1. They feel like they are not being fairly compensated. 2. Even if it is just a bargaining chip like so many think the Aho situation was last year</div></div>
I think the Lightning are going to try and bridge Sergachev with a 3 year 4.5 - 5.0 million dollar offer which is very similar to McAvoy and Wierenski deals signed last year since the flat cap. If he wants more money then he won't be with the Lightning and a trade or offer sheet will have to happen.
But he has said in our local market thaat he wants to stay and is open to all kinds of deals. He is also really close to Kucherov and Vasilevskiy who also took bridge deals from the Lightning so to me I think he will follow their lead.
Brayden Point last year refused to even look at Montreal's offer sheet which is why they went after Aho. Something about the Lightning (probably locker room, lifestyle and winning culture) gets these RFAs to sign fair bridge deals.

Tampa Fans would you consider this
<a href="/users/Campabee" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Campabee</a>: I agree that they could. While some other people on this site think they are experts, the vast majority of pundits feel that there are NHL teams that really are going to struggle to sign players. I've always been in the corner of thinking that players, during this period, without a rise in the cap (for several seasons) and the uncertainty of COVID, will be more tempted to sign offer sheets. Whether it happens or not is beyond me, but to say that someone would not sign one - regardless of who is making the offer - is rather shortsighted and emotional. If I were Tampa Bay, I would consider a trade to a team <em>if</em> they cannot get a deal done. MANY people here are thinking this is not going to be difficult for Tampa. But the reasons that their RFAs want to stay are the exact same reasons that Tampa's other players who have already <strong>earned</strong> NTC/NMC's would be unwilling to waive them. Teams cannot have it both ways. If I am a player on that team, and I want long-term certainty, I highly consider a reasonable offer-sheet with term. I am not saying that I know everything, and I will never say that. It is just my opinion. :) As always, none of us are experts and none of us are paid to be. :)

big flaw in your plan, why would Dunn sign it in the first place.
Girard signed him 7year 5maav extension coming off a 23 point season. Dunn has simliar points in less games when girard signed that. Why would he ask for a lesser contract which he signs as an offersheet.
If you are goign to get him out of St Louis you are going to have to present an offsersheet beyond his market value and thats beyond 5m range
