Sabres aren't doing that, don't need Konecny, and he's not worth that much as you pointed out yourself

I'd throw in Rosy if it meant moving the '23 2nd to '24. More or less balances the cap, PHI gets a fill-in for Hayes who can hopefully be a TDL move. Hayes would essentially be his replacement, anyway.

Lol. Disregard any article that even attempts to have the Kings move Quinton Byfield. It's nothing more than embarrassing click-bait.
I wouldn't move Byfield for that entire package, much less include the Kings franchise icon goaltender and a solid RD prospect.

Kaut was benched for inconsistent performance and effort. Hayes is nowhere near the bench. Dude is the leading scorer and plays more than almost anyone on the Flyers. He'd look good with Landy and Nuke imo.

Here’s the facts:
- His style is slow and methodical, similar to van Riemsdyk, but he’s not necessarily a slow skater
- His ability to control and protect the puck is very solid

Price is fine for JVR - not sure if he's the guy I'd want the Islanders to target but if that was the trade I'm not upset about it. Would hope it's not their *only* move, though.

Ya that looks like perfectly fair value to me. Especially with the salary retention. I think a deal with the Canucks would probably contain one of our wingers, Horvat(unlikely but depends on our start to the season and how negotiations are going on an extension), or Rathbone.
I like Sanheim and I don't think they're going to find a RHD on the market so he's probably as good as any potentially available.

The value is fair in the Canucks trade and I wouldn't be surprised to see them reach out to Philly about Sanheim. But I just can't see them giving up another 1st and 2nd. We've given up too many the past few years.

Honestly if Vancouver could get Sanheim signed to a reasonable extension they should do this now.
And to all those saying Van needs a RHD well there simply isn't any true top 4 RHD available, if they want to improve their defense which they should then playing someone on their offhand will simply have to happen, Ethan Bear isn't a top 4 dman.

Righting Wrongs
If it's any consolation, the Sabres picked Isak Rosen with the first from the ristolainen trade. Seems like a reach at the moment. To be fair, he was like 5'11" and 150 pounds playing in an adult league last year, probably needs to fill out. At least for the moment, it doesn't look like the Sabres drafted a sure fire all star with the pick. I wouldn't have wanted a goalie in round 1, but cossa and wallstedt went a few picks after. Chaz lucius, othman, balduc, and lysell were on the board too.

Only issue is Couts. Is he at a point where he’ll be able to return to form once he gets back. He’s been out a lot and I’m worried just like Backstrom, Hagelin and Ellis. It’s unfortunate to see these types of injuries and the lingering effects.

I think if Tampa is in need for a depth dman at the tdl, something around Braun for a 3rd or 4th could work if Tampa is able to make the cap work.

I think Hayes has value at 4.75, lots of people underrate him because of the contract but he is a very solid 2C, just overpaid.
Atkinson maybe gets a bit less because his deal is a lot to take on

You aren't close on the Edmonton deal. The only reason to move Puljujarvi is for cap purposes, and this isn't that. Puljujarvi has 10x the upside that Laughton has and the Oilers are already loaded with C/L players who are better than Laughton. There's no reason for them to entertain this idea.

Your value on DesLauriers is right.
I think that your value* on Konecny is in the ballpark, but now that the Kings have landed Kevin Fiala, Los Angeles isn't a likely destination for him anymore -- when Viktor Arvidsson ages out, the Kings envision Arthur Kaliyev taking his place. *An A prospect (probably a forward) plus a first, but inasmuch as Kupari is one of only two right-handed forwards on the Kings, I don't see him specifically being part of a Konecny trade.
Cap considerations aside, the Kings would give up a similar package to the one you have here for Ivan Provorov. Under current conditions, you'd have to take Alex Iafallo back to make the Los Angeles roster cap-compliant.
None of these proposals looks out of line to me. Nice job.
