maybe or maybe not a chance
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wojohawk</b></div><div>Neal's remaining contract (2 years 5.725 each) is worth at the VERY least a first round asset to move. 1 year of Marleau 6.25 cost the 13th overall pick (which the very next pick after was Edmonton taking Holloway at #14). The 19th OA is not moving Neal's TWO years at almost the same cap. The other first round asset is for Keith and a net 2 million Strome.
I will buy an arguement that the Oil won't pay the price to free 6 million in cap. But if they decide it is time to push in some chips to have the cap to try to build a team capable of getting out of the first round, I don't think the value here is off for what it will take. Maybe they find someone willing to take 3 years of Kassian 3.2 or the last year of Koskinen's last year of 4.5 for a more palitable cost.</div></div>
Keith is a bigger cap dump than Neal... Keith was one of the worst defenders in the year, your team was outchanced, outshot, and outscored by a greater margain when he was on the ice.
Keith’s contract can’t be bought out, Neals can.
Thinking Keith is anymore than a heavily overpaid 3LD is laughable

Awful trade for the oilers.
Keith was one of the worst defenders in the league and his contract is buyout proof. Great career but the guy is washed

After spending assets on that, they then lose Stanley.
That means they lose Appleton & Stanley and whatever asset they spend to be expansion draft compliant. Not a good move whatsoever for the Jets.
Better to lose one asset than multiple assets for a defenseman on the wrong side.</div></div>
Jones plays both sides, Developed as a RD in Bako, Tippet just has a hard on for lefties on Left
Didn’t know they wouldn’t meet minimum exposure though, you don’t think they’ll sign Perraultt or someone to expose?
I guess if you value Stanley over Jones & a third then that makes sense.

Had a tough beginning to this year. Was top 12 in GSAx in 19-20 he’s not been terrible. He’s over paid, but by about 2M
He’s outperformed Korpisalo for 3 straight years, so you could say he’s worth around 2.8M
Bad contract, not an awful player.

Koskinen has better numbers than Korpi every year from the past 3 years, better Sv%, better GSAx
Even Korpis “incredible year” he was statistically worse than Koskinen.
You’re making claims that aren’t backed up by any statistic

Korpi > Koski by a smallish margin, but Jenner > turris by a pretty large margin</div></div>
He’s never been incredible in terms of GSAx, benefited a lot from Torts system. When that system crumbles so does he (see this year)
With the money available coming into FA I don’t see the appeal of giving a first for Boone & a statistically worse goalie.
Don’t think it works but that’s my opinion

Koskinen posted better numbers than Korpi, don’t think the difference between Turris & Jenner is a first.
That’s just my opinion, I know a lot of oil fans on here are quick to trade Koskinen for anything.
