Habs fans what would Armia and Juulsen combined cost
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EzioUchiha</b></div><div>I don't think the Habs will trade Juulsen nor the Sharks would be interested in him. Sharks already have RHDs Burns & Karlsson locked up long-term and there's also this kid RHD Ryan Merkley coming up. As for the Habs, their D-Core isn't that good so the last thing they would want is trade young Dman. Besides, Juulsen is just coming off of a (recurring) headaches issues. Although they weren't as bad as Nolan Patrick's, Habs won't get much if they wanted to trade him.
If you include Meier, Habs would have to give up much more than Juulsen. Sharks might ask for a package centered around either Habs' potential 9th overall pick or Primeau++ and both scenarios aren't likely to happen. There's still a chance the 2020 draft in December remains in Montreal and Primeau is basically Price's future replacement.</div></div>
Have you read??? I said in a package deal

And if you're trying to get Meier, you'll have to move Juulsen, Armia and your 2020 1st rounder if it's around top 10. At least</div></div>
Juulsen was showing very promising sign before getting hurt, he is big, he skate well, he have good positioning he will be a top 4 defenseman easily in a couple of year. He would probably have been already if it where from injury that slowed him down.
And just like i said before in a package deal the habs would probably target Meier they have the prospect pool and pick to achieve it

I don’t think that the Shark have any assets to make this move unless they are open to trade Meier on a package deal. Juulsen was looking like a solid NHl defenseman before getting hurt. He still can turn into that solid top 4 defenseman Montreal hope when they drafted him. Armia is a very solid third line forward who can score goal and can play anywhere in the line up he got speed.

I hope you don’t thibk that Armia and Juulsen combine would only cost a second round pick? Juulsen was playing like a solid stud before getting hit twice in the same game in the face. He have some very good potential and could still turn out a solid top 4 defenseman. He would alone be worth that pick, as for Armia he is on a cheap deal got some size, can score and is a very good defensive forward very active with is stick and to create takeaways. Would be worth a second at the deadline for sure since Coleman landed a much higher return for a years and a half of him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Saskleaf</b></div><div>Ok, fine, you can offer sheet him. And you should know it is not an early third tampa gets. That's what I though too at first. But San Jose gave up their 3rd in the Nyquist trade so they had to give Tamps Phillies pick. He is worth a second. A late second maybe. But still a second.</div></div>
Goodrow is not worth a second alone. Tampa swap pick giving up 50 spot in the draft. So a second round pick eading one way would need a fourth or a late third round pick to equal value here.

I doubt that the Ducks who are already loaded in good defenseman would be interested in that package for Rackell. They would probably want a high end forward prospect and along with that first round pick.

It sure would be nice to see Barzal with some high end winger. Or Laine finally get is much needed Playmaking center.

I think Barrie may end up in cgy or van, so only so much free agent money to go around. Probably zero chance wpg even has a offer sheet in the arsenal. But will interesting starting aug 1</div></div>
Yeah exactly! But in my personal opinion Brodie is the best players among those three mentioned and is versatility make him worth much more then Hamonic and Edmundson. I can see Brodie taking a 4-5 years 5 millions deal that would be good for both side.

Depending on what players are available when they talk, this could be a option. If A players that Buffalo really like is still available on their list at number 8 they probably doesnt make this trade but if they feel like their guy aren’t there no more adding a players like Domi who is entering is prime could be a great option for them. With a solid prospect Like Ylonen or Jacobson they would probably listen to that but that pure speculation. And since they have fired half of their scouting team they might want to go with that avenue.

To ride a year out or some other idea til samberg and heinola ready. The money of Lowry, pearrault, and copp is needed for laine and pionk, so cant really do anything large, so yes getting right up against cap. Possibly edmondsen come back to wpg for 1 year, best yes definitely a large hole, and too bad stanley not ready to fill. Be hungry 8 by comittee and 3 real and 5 hopefully fill the other 3 spots</div></div>
Perreault could probably be dealt for a late round pick, he still have decent hockey left in him. Deteoit could probably acquire him for a 4th or 5 round pick and maybe play him on the powerplay just like ottawa did wit ennis and shop him for a better return at the deadline. That would leave enough money to target a decent defenseman. Tj brodie would be a very nice addition if Calgary aren’t able to extend him, Brodie can play borh side, eat up big minutes against top opponent and have offense to is game. Giving him a 4 or 5 years deal would gave them time to develop and not rush Heinola and Samberg. And would gave them a solid second pairing guy at reasonable cost.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Saskleaf</b></div><div>I wouldn't say Gourde's contract has negative value. I'd say he's worth about Luchuk in this trade. Goodrow+ a 3rd got a first. He is probably worth a second. Tatar is worth a first I think. So that leaves Caufield for Sergachev, and Sergachev is worth more. So ok, the habs might want a bit more. But this is about what I think Tamps will want back. You'll have to play hardball.</div></div>
Montreal have absolutely no need to play hard ball. They have plenty of money to and all their pick to make a offesheet that Tampa won’t be able to match. Anything north of 6 millions will be very hard for them to match so Montreal doesn’t have to acquire that garbage contract in Gourde and Goodrow doesn’t have any value for Montreal, in fact goodrow was trade for pick swap san jose gets a late first 25th-31st and tampa get the 65 pick in the draft that doesnt make him worth a second round pick. Tampa acquire him for is cheap contract and that he was under contract for another season. So goodrow alone isn’t worth a second round pick since Tampa give a late first for a very early third round pick.

Heinola haven’t been that good in Liiga what can make you think he is Nhl top 4 ready. If he would have been dominant in Liiga maybe but i have seen him play a couple of time when i was watching Ylonen and he doesn’t look like Nhl defenseman. He need to get stronger and is decision making without the puck need improvement. For is on good a year in Ahl would be good for him. Samberg is probably more Nhl ready, i thibk he will step right in this year but still that defense is a bottom tier around the league.

They don’t have much more in reserve after Dorofyev, Krebs and Elvenes they have a couple of interesting prospect but not much high quality prospect. I don’t see him getting lot more then that he will be 33 years old by the time a extension will kick in and as never been a offensive force. Is number have drop considerably over the past couple season and a three year deal over ten millions in value seem pretty generous.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ColonelX</b></div><div>I mean in a win now mentality it could make sense for Vegas to do so, I'd say that at this price there must be some retention on Petry but it's a fair deal considering KK isn't a prime prospect. The hockey writers ranks him at 8th in your pipeline and dobber prospect has a soso review of him.
"He is big, skates and moves well, but his decision making with and without the puck is suspect. He loses his coverage while defending the rush, often drifting towards the puck carrier while allowing the weak side forward to sneak behind him. Korczak has made some poor decisions with the puck, often throwing hope passes up the middle that are intercepted."
If Juulsen proves to be healthy and /or they find someone else to fill Petry's shoes I'd say Montreal could be in but that's an earlier pick than a 2022 coming back that's a sure thing.</div></div>
I know all about Korczak and that why i made him the prospect in that trade, i feel like Pachal and Corcoran are ahead of him in the depth chart in vegas prospect system. I see Korczak like a interesting project, but he is a B prospect. Vegas have been making move to chase the stabley cup, they are in win now mode with Stone and Pacioretty acquisition, keeping A you g B prospect who won’t have any impact until 3-5 years doesn’t make sense for them since Pacioretty and Stone will be bot in their mid 30

Sergachev is worth caufield and maybe a late seco d round pick. Caufield is a top 5 nhl prospect in almost every insiders and specialist list. Adding to the fact that you send Montreal a terrible contract is value just drop. Sergachev with Gourde in a deal without taking back some salary will lower is value in a major way. Sergachev would be worth more if he is traded alone. Tampa send a promising young Drouin for a very high talented Prospect in Sergachev. So here the situation is similar in a promising Sergachev and a very high talented prospect.

There probably something that could be work around that! I am not Bergevin but Montreal have a great farm system and Buffalo could very use a guy like Ylonen or Cam Hillis or Jacob Olofsson instead of a higher second round pick that will be in the Nhl maybe in 4 or 5 season. Buffalo is in a urgency if they keep loosing Eichel will walk in free agency just like Tavares did and that would be catastrophic for Buffalo. They are in need of players that are close to contributing in Nhl or impact players and since they haven’t been a very good scounting team ( they selected in the top ten 9 years in a row and haven’t have much success) they are maybe better to acquire established player then selected another Nylander or Mittelsatd. And they haven’t had much success in later round havibg only Olofsson in their line up that was drafted after the first round over the past 9 years.
