<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bluejackets2000</b></div><div>Fortunately, Murray can’t just sign with another team, he is still restricted (RFA) status. He is playing well, like a top pair D man, and Harrington and Nuti too. Carlsson can’t even get a roster spot. Savard is playing well too, he made a great assist last night on Panarin’s goal. I wouldn’t write Savard off just yet. Playoffs require experience and depth, especially at D. These guys are mostly young, but really good, just not flashy. There’s a lot to be said for the scouting and development over the last 5 or so years. The next wave coming up will be goaltenders...Veeti V., Elvis, and the Kid up in Cleveland, Kivliekens, I can’t wait to see them in the near future.</div></div>

Yeah i wanted to mention Elvis Merzlikins but post got too long. Im really pumped going forward about putting our faith in Korpi and Elvis getting the call to back him up. Thats why i don’t see any reason to trade for a goaltender at all. The Jackets main priority has to be getting another elite center for a 2nd very dangerous scoring line. Best defense is a good offense cliche rings very true. This also give us so much more flexibility and balance to our lines. It may even convince Panarin to stay because it tells him we are serious about chasing a cup. The guys i really want traded while we still can are Wennberg, Bjorkstrand, and Sonny Milano. If Dubinsky wasn’t our best faceoff guy i’d dump him too.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Flyers2000</b></div><div>Idk what Bobrovsky wants to do but I’m pretty sure Panarin wouldn’t want to re-sign with Ottawa. Unless it’s a sign and trade Ottawa wouldn’t want pending UFAs as the main return for Stone and Duchene. As for Calgary, I just don’t see why they would make a big trade like that when they are doing as good as they are. Bringing in a good player makes sense, getting rid of one or more of their key guys doesn’t</div></div>

Did you read the trade details? This is a potential 3 way trade setup for Ottawa. It is also about what is possible. Not, lets be ultra realistic about everything. The trades themselves are relatively fair value. Calgary will be bounced in the first round of the playoffs by the Sharks because they have no defense. This trade addresses that

You do realize Tkachuk is on the last year of his deal? Ottawa is desperate after their “uber incident” and has a rapidly aging roster that needs to get younger with few high draft picks. Bob might resign because at the end of the day he wants to play and Sens need a consistent guy between the pipes badly. Like i said in description though, Panarin and Bob can be flipped and Ottawa may not be their final destination, but demand for their services will be high. This will get the Sens what they need in a 3 way trade. I just could not speculate what that is since I don’t know their needs and don’t watch many games in that division. I knew these trades would be radical when I posted it, but was having fun thinking what would be crazy yet still in the realm of possible if the Blue Jackets went big.
