I would not want to get anywhere near that Keller contract, yes he’s a good player but I haven’t seen anything that makes me think $7+mil for 7 years

Vlady is gonna have a 40+ goal 75+ point season.
You heard it here first.
Unless it doesn’t happen then you heard it somewhere else.

Next Year
I might have liked this 5 or 6 years ago but Parise(37) and Dubnyk(35) are just too old to be difference makers. That $5.35mil could be spent on one player that can actually move the needle a little bit for you

Hoffman
If you’re going to somehow spend a decent chunk of $ i would rather go for Granlund, but I like Athanasiou and Duclair more, both cheaper, both younger with speed and high potential with the right line mates. I don’t think Hoffman is as bad as a lot of people say but he’s bad in the d-zone and that’s just not a fit here, I would have loved for the blues to sign Dadonov seeing as though he only got 3 years 5Mil per

Jake Allen was having a great year, like 2nd in save% in the NHL and Calgary’s goalie situation is bleak at best, Sanford was on his way to 20 goals before the stoppage and has top 6 potential and Mikkola is a solid defensive defenseman prospect

Yea I didn’t take the time to go through and find a team that would be interested in Bozak, the pick doesn’t really matter it’s just about getting his $5M cap hit off the books, any team will do

I hated the Faulk trade when it happened and keep liking it less and less everyday. I was/still am really high on Bokk and think we will all see just how bad that trade was in a couple years when Bokk cracks the canes roster.

I don’t like the idea of trading Dunn at all, he is already really good and has an incredibly high ceiling. I would hate to have to watch him hit his prime and become a household name not wearing a Blue Note.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>um, no from Calgary, like big no</div></div>
Calgary has Rittich and Ward at goalie, Ward is going to be 33 at the start of the year and in the final year of his contract this year. Rittich has 2 years left on his deal and his 2.97GAA and .907 Sv %, those numbers between the pipes aren’t gonna cut it if you want to make a deep playoff run, and look at Rittichs career numbers, they aren’t any better. Allen proved this season that he can still be dominant with a 2.15 GAA and .927 sv % and he’s a guy that’s been there before with 5 postsgeason appearances and one ring, I know he only played in one game but he still got experience and knows what to expect playing in a cup final, if Calgary still thinks they have a team that can compete for a cup they need a goalie that can get them there and with how bad the goalie market is going to be this offseason Jake Allen is exactly who they need

82 cap comp buyout Det trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mikearky</b></div><div>I could see Wings and Tampa being reading partners but you forgot two things. One Johnson has a NTC and not sure he waves to come to Detroit. Secondly and more important, Wings have something Tampa does not have and that is cap space. If Tampa wants to keep the core mostly enact, they would need to pay and not expect much back. The Wings highly doubtful to trade this yeara 2nd round pick, which is the 32nd pick overall.
If season is cancelled and cap stays the same or goes down, even with a buyout of top talent, they do not have enough cap space.</div></div>

What about trading Allen to Calgary? Rittich isn’t a starting caliber goalie in my opinion, 2.97 GAA and .907 sv % isn’t good enough between the pipes for a team to make a deep postseason run and Talbot is in the final year of his deal and will be 33 at the start of next season. The Blues could look to target Zavgorodny or Phillips along with a 2nd or a 1st if they sweeten the pot a little

I’m not nearly as high on Blais as a lot of people seem to be, I think he’s a guy that can rotate in on occasion and add some physicality but don’t think he’s an everyday NHLer

still a contender
Overpaying Blais by at least 1mil, Barbashev by at least 1.5mil, Fabbri and Edmundson by about 500k and underpaying Schenn by about 1mil. Unless of course they go out and have a big year, but all in all I’d say pretty good player valuation.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>Carolina don't need more D men
Vegas can get more for Nikita Gusev</div></div>
Carolina only has 5 d-men signed right now. I know they have a couple young guys that they are hoping are ready but I still think they would like to have another young proven defenseman and add on a young forward that has the ability to be a very good player if he stays healthy. As for Gusev, Vegas doesn’t have room to sign him and I don’t see anybody giving up a 1st for him in this years draft.

I meant to put the SJS 1st rounder in the trade and just fixed it, Carolinas GM said he wouldn’t go over 6.5 million on Aho so idk, but would be willing to bump it up and lose the additional 1st, and the jets are looking to dump Ehlers, coming off a down year, the package to get him isn’t going to have to be amazing
