Preds pass. No need for Chabot with Molendyk coming up in a few years. As it stands, we already have 5 NHL LD and I personally would hang onto the 1st and go for Skjei in FA if we were looking around.

Prediction when Jo and Pinto Return
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tm0000</b></div><div>First of all, he's 11th not 4th in xGF%. Even if you take out the guys who have played less than 10 games he's still only 9th. Second of all, who cares what his numbers are relative to the other forwards on the Sens? Relative to the rest of the league his numbers aren't good.</div></div>
When he got traded from st Louis last year he was on a 62.57pt pace / 82 games and a -18.
This year he’s on a 63.48pts/82 games and a +9 which leads the Sens pretty sure . He’s literally on the same goal pace as his NY and STL tenures last year. He’s outpacing his NY tenure by 3pts.
If anything hes been a 20-22 goal 60-65pt winger the last 2 years and thats exactly what he is.
He got traded for a late 1st last year. I don’t see why that wouldn’t change as long as Ottawa retains and maybe even involves a 3rd team to double retain

He’s #1 in GA/60 on the Sens . And 4th in xGF% among forwards

I still preach patience. Sell Senko, Kubalik, Brann for something. Trade Forsberg in the off season for extra cap space. Sign some depth.
This team will have no issues scoring. They just need to learn something about how not to be stupid.

Don’t mind Walker and he shouldn’t be too expensive as a rental bottom pair D, not sure on Frost though. Think a winger would work better for Ottawa, maybe a Farabee? Or go all in on TK but would have to add a bit to the offer for that

What I would trade for a legit 2 way Number 1 RD
But who?
Seth Jones?
Justin Faulk?
Rasmus Ristolainen?
It’s a hefty price, but who is available? Maybe guys like…
Ryan Pulock?
Rasmus Andersson?
Alex Pietrangelo?
Maybe best to wait until summer for Pesce, Roy, Tanev, etc (or deal for their rights before, like Severson deal).

They’re .500 and there is 76 games left. I’m with Claude G. It’s not time to panic.
It’s simple in my opinion (which is worthless, but still):
Kubalik —-> who cares lol
Pinto in…
It’s a long season. It’ll be a roller coaster ride.

Stop being mean
You really don't need to get fleeced like this just to have the incredible luxury to carry JBD and Chartier as extras.
Just trade Kubalik for a pick and be done with. This is how Dorion has managed his way into this.
And the Sens really need Brannstrom this season, Kleven is not ready enough. One Top-4 injury and they're screwed

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>python3504</b></div><div>When Norris is healthy you will be over the cap wont you?</div></div>
Yeah and if you think Dorion doesn’t have any leverage now, wait til all 31 teams know he has to trade someone immediately to activate Norris or the league will penalize them. Would be smart to just trade someone now before the whole league holds him hostage when Norris is ready to go lol

Wasnt JBD supposed to stay in the NHL
He was, but evidently he's been surpassed by Maxence Guennette. JBD is a smart defensive D, but his physical tools are all mediocre. Compared to the NCAA level his strength and skating just don't carry him as far as they did in college, he's a relied upon defender in Belleville but he gets lost in the NHL.
Guennette is also a smart stick defender, but he's got a bigger frame, a smooth stride and way more puck talent. I don't want to lose Bernard-Docker for nothing, but he's 23, if he's not able to beat out a former 7th round pick, I don't think Ottawa's losing some huge part of the future.

This "dump" term and concept is getting to a ridiculous level of misunderstanding on CF lol
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sharcuda22</b></div><div>I feel like that is a super pricey dump?? I am unfamiliar with Zubs game but he would be our longest tenured Dman - so I think it would cost a lot</div></div>
Imagine how much you'd ask for the Oilers to DUMP McDavid on the Sharks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>McSorley</b></div><div>I thought Zub was the best defensive 1RD in the league Ottawa fans?</div></div>
Does it mean anything because he is proposed in an ACGM?
I haven't seen a single Sens fan call him "<em>the best defensive 1RD in the league</em>" but yes, he is one of the good Top-4 defensive D-men

Ottawa-Carolina Trade

If Ottawa is higher on Greig than Pinto, they can sell Pinto at a higher price than his original draft stock (he was drafted with the very first pick in the second round), and take a swing on another guy that could be a good 3rd line center.</div></div>
Or Ottawa will/can keep both Greig and Pinto for the foreseeable future.

Lining up with a Konecny sign and trade at the draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Brewwins</b></div><div>In your first post you replied 'Not for that price you're probably not' while clearly ignoring the OP's line 'Other pieces of course' where you could have suggested what those pieces would need to be to make that particular trade.
Then in your second post 'Other pieces could include some of your cruddy prospects to some of your mid range picks' still didn't offer any suggestions. And sure, the OP was in attack mode with his 'if you could read' statement but my point is that if we all just reply with "NO' or "THAT SUCKS" or "YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT", then we're just a breeding ground for arguments rather than a site for constructive criticism and idea advancement.
I'm not saying you HAVE to make a proposal in your rebuttal, but it might have been helpful to the OP.</div></div>
I ain't reading allat. Good for you, or sorry it happened.

I would much rather trade Kubalik (who isn't that needed anymore with Tarasenko signing) and get an asset back instead
Tkachuk - Stutzle - Tarasenko
Joseph - Norris - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Giroux
Kelly - Kastelic - MacEwen
You can roll the first 3 lines a lot
