Getting a 2C with some terms just for it to fall apart because not everyone is on the same window. Well Good luck

You honestly believe that roster that is fairly old for a core is a 2C away from a Stanley Cup. You honestly think that?

Blues aren’t trading him. He’s on a significant contract for an extended amount of time. Leddy and Krug will be the first to go before anyone else on the defensive core. I find it funny that a non blues fan an outsider if you will thinks Parayko is getting traded. Glazing is crazy. Considering Parayko is probably the ONLY EFFECTIVE. Defenseman we have right now with Faulk out of commission.

NHL Trade Rumors made another dumb trade again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>See, there's another wild misrepresentation of what I said. It's not even remotely implied, either. It doesn't mean no generational player can ever come out of college. It means doing a bunch of great stuff in college does not necessarily translate to the NHL level. History is littered with evidence of this. Him scoring a bunch of points in college does not mean he will replicate it in the pros. At his size, it's a damn good bet he won't. He didn't even replicate that rate at the WJC, and that has the big rink.
Even if you want to say generational means franchise, that seems like a huge stretch. He ain't THAT good.
Also, accusing me of being stubborn while you're also being stubborn is just funny. Stick to the debate instead of trying to psychoanalyze me.</div></div>
So are we not gonna talk about Beniers Power Hughes Gaudreau Makar McAvoy Fox etc. is it just all players don’t translate from NCAA. Because again as of recently. Completely wrong point of view considering NCAA has passed some of the other leagues that we look to for prospects. Just saying. But your comments just make it seem like it’s a sh*tter league which to each their own I guess.

They are Franchise Cornerstone pieces. You might have a different definition of Generational where you can only compare it to Forwards but with this yes. I will say he’s very much in that realm of players. But agree to disagree. You’ve always been the stubborn type so I’m not gonna make an entire argument out of it.

This whole thing where people invent a make believe image of me to deflect because they made a silly comment is tired.</div></div>

I’m just not sure I’d give a guy a generational tag at this stage of development. He is on a really good track though.</div></div>
Perunovich has injury history. That’s the big difference. He was also not NHL ready at 20 like Hutson is there is a huge difference. I’m not sure how you can compare Perunovich to Hutson and say that’s accurate assessment.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jay27</b></div><div>Don’t think I’d go as far as calling Hutson a generational talent, he has the potential to be elite but that is yet to be seen. Regardless if Montreal were trading this package they’d need to be getting a true gamebreaker in return and Buchnevich ain’t it. I do like Neighbours though but not enough to justify this…</div></div>
The problem I have with that statement is I’d call Makar generational and he’s within that realm of possibilities. I’m not calling him McDavid he’s a defenseman. So he’s a generational defenseman. That’s not exactly the same thing as being Crosby or McDavid generational.

He’s breaking. 35 year old record bud for a Defenseman that’s generational in that realm of hockey players. Forwards sure not but if you think he’s just another scrub you gotta stop looking at only Blues players man and only from the Blues point of view. You do it wayyyyyy to often.

Generational in the realm of Defenseman. He’s going to be another Makar Fox McAvoy Pietrangelo whatever you want to name him off he’s doing better than Makar did in the NCAA. So for that reason that’s why I call Hutson generational.

Why not
Last thing Islanders need is an expensive backup Tendy for Sorokin. And Tanev is a bit overpriced too. But even worse is that pay amount you want for the both of them. I’d say Islanders would just keep what they got.
Next If you are trading Hanifin. New Jersey isn’t the team who needs defenseman. Expect someone who’s in the hunt but sort of out of it like Minnesota Wild Detroit Red Wings St.Louis Blues etc to try and make a deal for Hanifin.
Now I don’t think the Lindholm trade is bad for either side. I just don’t know how the hell Colorado fits that contract long term into the Colorado cap. That’s cap hell all over again. So that’s my only concern with that. Although Lindholm could definitely be on the move. I’ve thought about ideas of him going to like the Flyers or Preds.

I completely disagree. I’ll take Zahorna in the starting lineup over Scandella any day of the week. And Vrana is making that much as a minor league player right now simply because he didn’t want to put in the effort on both ends of the ice so.

Question how is Zahorna looking? Because this looks like a steal for St.Louis. Vrana who’s in the minors won’t play defense at all and Zahorna is an underrated defensive defenseman. So i don’t think this deal works from Pittsburgh’s side of things. If it was me Im taking it in a heartbeat but that’s because I just don’t think Vrana wants to put in the work on both sides he just wants to shoot the puck and that’s it.

This team is just pain
If I’m being honest I don’t even think Jakub Vrana is worth that much. He is getting paid a couple million to play as a pylon who only wants to shoot the puck. He refuses to play defense at all. It’s completely dumb and irresponsible of him. He’s basically ruined any chance of being a top dollar market guy ever again. Especially if he isn’t even gonna work hard during games much less give an actual damn or effort at practice.

Hello
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caufield</b></div><div>Not really considering we have 4 75+ pt potential guy on our team. (Dach Suzuki Slaf Caufield). They probably won’t all be 75 pt guys, but some prob will be better. (Dach 60-65) (Suzuki 80-85) (Caufield 70-80) (Slaf 70-90, harder to predict). Plus 40-55 pt potential guys like Beck, Newhook, Roy, Farrell, Mesar. We also got out 2024 1st in which we will likely draft a very solid forward. MTL are very underrated in the attack. Sure Kyrou could help, but not by removing a core 3 defender (Guhle, Hutson, Reinbacher)</div></div>
Slaf is very very questionable. I didn’t like the pick when he was drafted I felt he was a little overhyped. Caufield is going to be interesting if he can stay healthy. Suzuki is more defensive I think he’s a career 60-65 Pt player. Again very good player not taking anything away from him but I don’t think he gets 75 unless they have the top line powerhouse that he can feed off of. Dach will also be interesting. Don’t sleep on Mittelstadt he’s a solid Top 4 and as much as everyone wants to hate on Mailloux he’s a solid defender as well. So while I agree there is potential. It’s only potential until it comes together. Suzuki hasn’t been super consistent Caufield gets injured and slows down. Slaf hasn’t been available.
I also think you expect more out of Guhle than like 98% of people believe he will be. I like Guhle I think he’s a 2-3D but if I’m trading a 24-25 year old PPG forward you’ll have to do better. Because trading for a Prospect Guhle like actually makes us worse lol. We are already missing a 1LW we shouldn’t try and start missing a 1RW for a D that we haven’t seen play top line minutes ever.
