Debrincat with a year left on his deal, got a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. So when he needs a new deal, you think you can get more? Hell, Kirby Dach got 13th and 66th overall before he turned into a halfway decent player. Lafreniere is worth more than he is.

baselines of selling
NYR decline. Leivo has no value to them, Barb doesn't move the needle enough. They are set at the top 3 centers with Zib, Trocheck and Chytil. Ideally they'd have Goodrow as the 4C and they claimed Leschyshyn (who looked decent enough through two games) as well to shore up depth. The only reason they may take Barb is because they have his brother.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>IDKtbh</b></div><div>What do you suggest it would be? Also, what sort of contract do you expect Miller to command. I’ve seen rangers folks predicting a bridge deal around $4m a year and I am very skeptical of Miller’s camp considering that at all. Keep in mind my scenario is for the offseason.
I absolutely agree. If I’m the rangers, I’d move Lafreniere well before potentially losing Miller. I don’t believe it would ‘require’ a top 5 pick tho, but I know it would take quite a bit.</div></div>
Think similar what you would want for Seider, that's what NYR would want for Miller. If he keeps playing this way, a 4X5m or 7x7m contract seems likely

Detroit won’t want to pay the price for miller that it’ll actually cost.

ahh gotcha.. yeah Goodrow while important can go at this point. He was good for last year and even this year for his leadership, but he's got to go due to his cap hit at this point. He's still decent but he's definitely the odd man out. Kinda regret the Trocheck signing too but that's another story. Chytil continuing his playoff breakout is something it seems the front office wasn't expecting. Perhaps it's more of the deployment by GG that's the issue-- Trocheck doesn't belong on PP1. Swapping him and Chytil would not only save the faceoff issue for PP2 but also add a needed lefty shot on PP1.

just made this, by getting rid of Goodrow you can sign to less conservative deals. Miller and Chytil have to be the priority this offseason. Laf/Kravtsov less so until they prove themselves. I see the latter two getting bridge deals and the others getting 4+ years.

Who voted no on this. League minimum next year is 775k, he's making 25k over that. He's a great 4th line player that can chip in offensively. As long as GG plays him in that role they are good

So you gave up a 1st, 2nd and 3rd for Debrincat with a year left on his deal.. You want two 1st rounders back when he's an RFA with a new contract pending.. interesting.

Ok, sign pettersson to an 8x8 extension, sign kuzmenko to a 6x6, retain half on both and put in the trade with NYR and they’ll do it then. Otherwise no deal

No one is paying to get miller, let alone with the contract he comes with. Only player NYR will give that package up for is Pettersson, which you will in turn say “when he11 freezes over” and where conversations on this stop.. so yeah great job

During this point streak it’s been kreider and vesey. Panarin has been with Zibanejad.

Yeah ok bud.. 13 points in his last 9 games, wins 56% of his face offs and has 12 goals while also hitting 12 posts this year. Every team could use him.

Multiple first rounders, a solid 2c, a young lhd and a decent prospect? If I could use those positions yes. Like I said in the comment, it ain’t happening and is just for fun. Not serious at all.

NYR accept this in a heartbeat. With the cap not projecting to go up, they’ll need every dollar. While yes, this hurts them long term, you can get a fourth line filler at the deadline for cheaper than a 1st. It would be great asset management on their part

We have them a conditional 1st (2nd rounder otherwise) and Morgan Barron (bottom 6 forward). That’s not as much as a 1st, 2nd, blais and gauthier. For someone NYR intended on resigning. Considering Trocheck went to FA, they opted for the upgrade. Like the comments state, Horvat is a pure rental.

Nothing you would want to give up. Dach would be the minimum but he is atrocious on faceoffs so personally I don’t want him. If that was the guy they got I would ask what else came with him.
