One more try with Ovi
Duchene such a classic example of a guy who looks great because he finally has been asked to play a lesser role on a really good team. He can't be a 1c anymore.
Also for that package you can get a better player than Sharangovich

I don't think anyone is trading for Norris right now. 50pt production pace and is never healthy all for 8m? No thanks

Trade for Zegras, Pinto, Dach, PLD, Schmaltz, Laine or whichever disgruntled under 30 years old star who needs a trade.

I think they're obviously worse right now without Danault, he does so much that doesn't show up on the boxscore.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TM11</b></div><div>Yeah, he's weird because he actually looks better than his production and a huge locker room guy, but there's massive risk with taking him espcially because hes been good at setting up but cant put the puck in the net this year which used to be his best thing.</div></div>
I think what teams are looking at with Pacioretty is, "can we put him in the right situation where he can catch lightning in a bottle?" Followed by, "if we do that, can he stay healthy." Both really big question marks, so I think any team taking him on is taking a gamble. I actually really like the bruins as a fit here - relatively low cost (unless there's some bonkers bidding war, which isn't impossible), and I think he would fit in well with Zacha and Marchand. If it doesn't work, oh well. I think that sort of deal could work if the bruins take a swing at a big target like Hanifin, fall short, but still want to add to their roster.

Kulich has to have a great camp to make it. He may. But I bet he starts in Roch. They may give Savoie a look for 9 games before they send him back down

The thing you have to consider is Kevyn Adams won't part with his first round selections period...maybe a couple years down the road once they see where their progression has gotten. When one of Savoie and Kulich were mentioned when Meier was on the block Adams said no. I think they expect this to be Krebs breakout year so he isn't being moved. I don't see the Sabres doing much as far as trades go. They'll go the waiver wire once teams have their rosters set. I think the biggest mistake is if they don't acquire a decent goalie and put all the weight on a Levi & UPL duo besides carrying 3 goalies including Comrie and if they do they don't make the playoffs. It's too much to ask of a rookie goalie to carry the load in an 82 games schedule.

Prospect Rankings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NARC311</b></div><div>Only surprise for me is having Protas that low. Same draft class as McMike with more AHL production and higher favor amongst the organization.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TM11</b></div><div>Yeah I mean honestly I think Mcmichael, Lappiere, Suzdalev, and Protas are all within the same range. I think Mcmichael can have a Morgan Frost development curve and be like a 50-60 point guy, not an elite scorer but works hard and grinds for points. I just frankly can't see Protas becoming more than a 3C if he still doesn't get more powerful (Hes strong just doesn't play with power). Then I think Lappiere honestly tops out as a 3rd line wing and then Suzdalev has some more elite skill where he could be a top 6 winger if it all works out for him</div></div>
Was surprised too
I think Protas is an everyday NHL player (bottom 6), but McM might have more upside (at most, 2c)?

The Capitals wouldn’t trade Tom Wilson for DeBrincat straight up, they’re certainly not going to ADD to Wilson for him.

I agree with you 100%. Between now and the TDL is when he should get traded. PHI can't waste a year of his eligibility. He also needs to retain 50% to maximize value. WAY too many teams trying to win now that don't have cap space.

Potiental Trades
this does not intrigue COL in the slightest, and here are the reasons:
1. It's a large overpay for a player the capitals seem somewhat desperate to move. Kuzy today is not Kuzy in 2020, his stock has dropped.
2. Avs cannot afford Kuzy without retention, and there are cheaper 2Cs with about the same production that don't require the Avs to pay for that retention.
3. I'm not sure the Avs are interested in dealing with any more off the ice issues this year.
4. The Center trade market is growing with the Calgary news. Avs only move Newhook for a decently young center they could or would want to extend.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawksguy81</b></div><div>And if he doesn't? The chances that he repeats his last 2 seasons in Washington are probably better than him rebounding. Hawks don't take that chance for a swap of 7th round picks.</div></div>
He is a one year contract for the Blackhawks if they take that, they do not have to deal with his cap forever. And further more they are 16 million away from the cap floor, they need to take a heavy one year contract at this point, so look at it from a general standpoint not the "oh he isn't living up to his first round pick hype" narrative

Realistic Tom Wilson Conversation
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TM11</b></div><div>Yeah I said that in my description, which is why Im kinda on the boat where if we can get a Toronto team that is willing to give up Willy, or yall (as the sens) thinking its a good idea to bring him in and use him as a piece for Debrincat or get some youth from LA i would be all for it.</div></div>
Can't see the Leafs moving Nylander for Wilson +. As much as he is a need for the team, he likely only has a few seasons left of being an elite power forward. I think the Leafs will deal picks and prospects but again, noting the Caps would really want in return
