4/5.. Your deals look good with the exception of Virtanen in the Vancouver deal for Stone. A pick or another mid-level prospect might do the trick, since you're matching almost dollar-for-dollar.

Adding a 1st or Jost is overkill, even with Buch and McQuaid. Rangers would be dumb to give up on Buch rn. With Hayes/Zucc leaving at the deadline, put him back with Kreider and Zibanejad instead of Howden and McLeod.
One deal I would do in a heartbeat is:
Namestnikov, Kreider, Hayes, Zucc, Rangers 2nd rounder for Makar, Bowers, Ott 1st.
Namestnikov>Bowers (by a little bit)
Hayes (extended)+Zucc+2nd+offset of above trade = Ottawa's 1st
Kreider=Makar (at least this has been the reported prospect the rangers require to let go of kreider)</div></div>
Don't make me laugh.
First of all, why Makar keeps showing up in these conversations is beyond me. Second, you're overvaluing Sakic as a GM. He can declare with the straightest of faces he is not breaking up the future for the present..he knows damn well HE will need to give to get.
So, let's take a look at the potential assets to move: Wilson? Soderberg? Nemeth?? Giving them away brings WHAT back? Thirds for the forwards and a fifth at best for the defenseman. So, where is the asset that is a match for Namestnikov..and I mean, just Namestnikov? It has to be either in the minors or in future assets.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Spanky227</b></div><div>You are asking for too much of an overpayment-- this is fair for just Namestnikov. Once again we have someone trying to move Kreider, when the Rangers are going to need a foundation player to rebuild from, alongside of Zibanejad to support the incoming players in transition. Not the right move. Zucc would make sense if Colorado was breaking up their top line; wanted to add him to MacKinnon and Rantanen, while dropping Landeskog to the second line to increase offense on that line without giving up assets.
According to this, <div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Foppa21</b></div><div><strong>Makar and the Ottawa 1st aren't going anywhere. </strong></div></div> that will never happen; so, no Zuccarello. So, that's that.
In the buyer's market, declaring the unwillingness to part with assets (picks and/or prospects) is ALWAYS either a smokescreen for something big, or for trying to get more from a particular team.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Liam2497</b></div><div>As a rangers fan I think they would also be interested in AJ Greer</div></div>
So if a Namestnikov for Greer deal could be struck, the scouts whom have been spotted at Colorado Eagles games could be lining this up for Joe Sakic and Jeff Gorton. But this deal seems [to me] to be the base for a larger deal.. especially if the Avalanche are looking to fill in numerous spots; this is why I proposed the larger deal.

You have the beginning of a potential deal. No thanks to Andrighetto..Bowers and perhaps Colorado's first round pick. NYR could send Buchnevich and McQuaid, and swap each other's high first round picks (OTT and NYR's) since both will be in the top 10.
Colorado ends up with three NHL players, all with playoff experience (McQuaid having won a Stanley Cup); deepens the Avalanche lines going into the playoffs.
Perhaps consider also adding Jost on the NYR side; it will seem like a lot, but, Colorado is killing three birds with one stone. The Rangers are moving forward with their rebuild in earnest.

I apologize.. I wrote that in haste. I was referring to the 62 games total, in which the team is 34-16-12.
I know that +/- is a "flawed" stat today, but you know what's interesting there..
In the 31 games under Vigneault, DeAngelo's stat line:
0 goals, 8 assists, (-18)
But, under Quinn, DeAngelo's stat line:
4 goals, 8 assists, (+5)
Does tell you that the Rangers found a coach who can get the best from his players..and it's only just begun.

Hard to gauge how to play a guy when you don't know what kind of system to play...those 30 games were coached by two different people; a lack of consistency in the roster has been the ONLY thing coinciding with the record.
Saying that, if you're watching (I can only assume), the new system is starting to look like it is taking hold. The Rangers look quicker and more decisive (two words I had a hard time aligning with this team); the 21 wins this season is the product of transitioning from cycling the puck to better shooting positions up front, while getting defensemen into better defensive positioning and reading forecheck better..all the while, allowing goaltending to stabilize.
Like the song says, it took a whole lot of climbing, just to get up that hill. Equally, DeAngelo has been part of the ascension. "You have to see growth to identify it.", the late Herb Brooks once said. When you've seen the growth of DeAngelo, Chytil and Nieves (as of late) with a clear reboot of Zibanejad, that growth is apparent.
Thus, feeding into the CapFriendly proposal machine constant trades IS the crap shoot it seems like.

NYR Fans - Thoughts
As a Ranger fan, I will say Namestnikov, along with Buchnevich for Bowers and Colorado's first in '19. It took a little critical thinking, but the player Colorado grabbed in the Duchene deal, Kamenev, could be the next big piece to build with.
Why not give him a solid pair of players to grow with. Especially since they have relatively low dollar contracts. Both are playoff tested. In Namestnikov's case, he is so defensively sound in his two-way game, that it is like getting three players in the deal.
Although collectively they have 31 points, Buchnevich at 22 has an untapped offensive game. This, with Kamenev seeming like an impressive power forward could be just what the Avalanche need to make their push to the playoffs, without bleeding prospects to do it.
Considering the details, this may be your upcoming trade.

Okay.. Listen carefully:
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ragsandbluesfan</b></div><div>I accept</div></div>
This is what a "supposed" Ranger fan sounds like. Not a smart one or a real one..but one that believes they are offering you the "best" answer to your question.
The Rangers need a foundation to build from going forward; as much as the organization wants to see Chytil leading its future, they need players to play alongside him for the foreseeable future.
While there is chemistry building between Chytil and Ryan Strome, what you, the fan is watching is the development of both the style and confidence in each of the player (Chytil) and team.
The Rangers would be crazy to break down the progress by stripping it down, which would be what your trade proposal amounts to.
Please, I'm asking you with all due respect, to take a better look at your proposal. Simultaneously, do not hear the word "rebuild" and add "tanking" to it.
Look carefully and give this another try.
Thanks.

The Hayes family member, Jimmy, was much less talented; trying to use that as justification to keep this trade from happening is just plain stupid.
The Rangers seen him both on the team and gone. As far as Hayes goes, he can be both packaged with others to create a deep middle-six, or kept and allow the Rangers to set center ice for the next few seasons--building the wings and defense as needed going forward.

Boyle and McQuaid
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>lamar1226</b></div><div>I believe that would be a very bad move. IMO they need to acquire younger players and more picks even if McQ and Skjei are working well together right now. Signing him will cost us a 7th pick as well. As for the trade I think Pollock will be pretty irrelevant for us to take. If possible we would rather settle on a 3rd round pick to move up from the 4th we lost in acquiring him.</div></div>
Though some of your point is accurate, the only issue I'd take with your reasoning is that the Rangers need Skjei to grow in his game further. If the Rangers do not build Skjei up, they will find themselves with a much bigger problem long-term. McQuaid is the example of the player the Rangers need to place with Skjei with, if it's their intent to build around him on defense. Those are a lot of years to deal, even for a 25 year-old. They need to get this one right; and if it MAY mean adding a season to McQuaid to make it so, it can be with it as the youth coming up isn't ready just yet, outside of Lindgren.
Players like Gilmour, O'Gara and Bigras are not the future of the franchise. Hajek, Miller, Lundqkist, Keane..they represent the future of the franchise on defense. But they will ALL need time to get here.

Hayes is the easiest player to connect these proposals to. Now it's Shattenkirk whose being added? And for Tyson Barrie? And gathering ONE of numerous prospects??

And I also do not expect Hayes to get Connor plus Vesalainen but one of them if Duchene signs with Ottawa.
And Chiarelli has made several horrible trades. Hall had 90 points last year and Larsen isn’t anything special, not an elite top pairing dman... Eberle for Strome etc.</div></div>
I'll take these one at a time:
If Fox wants to be a Ranger, he can refuse to sign a contract with Carolina, wait for the end of the off-season, and sign with the Rangers without compensation conflict. Trading Mats Zuccarello to a team who doesn't need his skill set, MAY only get you the draft pick (and I think you'd like to see him be more than a salary dump, if possible).
After October, I passed on the idea of trading Hayes to Winnipeg. They are a first-place team, with very few holes; everybody beat the dead horse idea of Winnipeg needing a second line center well beyond the typically accepted 8 feet under. Saying that, there are deals that Hayes and others can attract..that being IF Gorton wants to even move him at all.
While I would love to see Connor on the Rangers, I just can't see it happening in your Hayes' deal, without more being involved.
As for Chiarelli, I will not dispute his past transgressions; he only has one of the following two moves in his chess game: trading Draisatil for some depth, or trading McDavid for lots of depth and deciding that Draisatil is the option to build the team with.
Let's face it, EITHER move will be his last. But, let's not let him have his death sentence be served over Chris Kreider and Jesper Fast.

None of these deals will happen. The Rangers have no interest in trading Kreider. Hayes is going to wait until the very last minute, before either he's traded or re-signed.

Add Vesey to this deal, and it should work. Consider substituting Kerfoot with Jost. Makar might be more palatable to the Avs fan, if Gorton were to offer the depth needed for a second line.
As for the Nashville deal, I don't see Zuccarello going there; as complete a team as the Predators are, Zuccarello is not their need. And, I believe your ask may be too small.

So, regarding the Rangers deal...
Your team would be better served getting a two-way forward like Namestnikov for Coyle. If there's something missing from the Wild lineup, its a two-way forward who can consistently forecheck and backcheck with speed.
Since both guys are on two-year deals and the difference in cap hits is $800k, this deal could be a fit to both teams.

You're correct on the first two deals, but the third will require taking back a contract as Edmonton is just about near the cap ceiling. Perhaps consider taking Petrovic in exchange, and that should be a successful trade.

Right player, just the wrong team. I have been working on a proposal using Draisatil: sending him to the Rangers for Hayes and Vesey.
Simply put, the Oilers need a second line. If McDavid isn't going to be moved, then I can see Draisatil being moved to obtain the scoring depth needed to compete both in the division and the conference.
My proposal:
EDM gets:
Hayes, Vesey, Gropp and '20 1st.
NYR gets:
Draisatil
Simple idea..allows the Oilers to gain cap space and add depth; gives the Rangers the top-line skillful forward they've craved for years.
