Drai Drai Bye Bye
It's actually a fair deal, because it gives Edmonton two prospects to build with. I'd personally swap Andersson with Howden, because I think Howden might be more well-rounded than Andersson at this point.
Buchnevich will require a contract extension this offseason..this may not intice Edmonton to accept a deal; consider another prospect, like Ronning or Virta to substitute and raise the pick to compensate.

With the exception of your Zuccarello proposal, your proposals do not seem the least bit close to fact. I have no issue with your signings.

How do I put this?
Yes to your Zuccarello proposal
No to your McQuaid proposal (they're just fine on the back end)
No to your Hayes proposal.. I cannot see the Rangers proposing and/or accepting a proposal like this
No to your Kreider proposal (seems like this is a pipe dream)

Rangers aren't taking Petan. They already have him in their system, under the name Ty Ronning. Roslovic, Appleton...sure, either will fit; but, the Rangers are not taking Petan.

And no to Zuccarello. Period.

As a Ranger fan, if EDM was closer to the playoffs, I could see that deal happening. But not in the current state of the Oilers.

First, I congratulate you on this solid proposal. Tradecraft is difficult; but you have given the right amount of time and effort to make sure every base is covered.
I'd like to ask if you happen to be a fan of either team, or a hockey fan with no Allegiance. No judgment..just honest curiosity.
Anyway..great job!

Consideration
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>naslund12</b></div><div>vancouver takes on 7m in salary and sends the rangers a 2nd round pick as a thank you?</div></div>
Not as a "thank you", as you're suggesting. I proposed this deal for consideration. As a Ranger fan, I would have no issue with skipping the pick; the remaining return is sufficient.
By the way, the two remaining seasons on Smith's contract are not Earth-shattering. At best, he offers a stabilizing #4 defenseman, following a likely departure of Edler and elevation of Hutton to the top pairing with Tanev. Placing Smith with Stecher ought to balance Vancouver's pairings, as they'll look to ease Hughes and other young defenders into their lineup.
The pick was actually for Strome, along with Schaller, who provides a fourth line center to a team in need for one.

I'd do it..adding a young sniper potentially to Chytil, makes for a promising line.

Much Ado about nothing. Clearing a roster spot/AHL contract to allow for more playing to younger, incoming talent.
By the way, Vancouver only has one healthy goaltender contract at Utica of the AHL. They're filling a need.

Rumor has it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>draft_em_sign_em_trade_em</b></div><div>Got any sources to prove your rumour isn't just your own wishful thinking?
The Canes desperately want either Nylander or Kapanen from the Leafs, that's a confirmed rumour.</div></div>
Since this is on TSN's Trade Bait (Glendening), your request for a source is granted.
I don't particularly think this will happen by moving Brown. Your fourth line is sound, but I think Kapanen could be the goner; given his future cap implications, it's possible he may be the better asset to move.

The Wild starting a rebuild
Gonna say no to the Hayes deal. For one thing, they have three puck moving defensemen in Shattenkirk, Pionk and DeAngelo.
You might get a better deal by doing the following:
NYR gets: Coyle, Foligno and Brodin
MIN gets: Buchnevich, Namestnikov, Claesson and Letteri
Then:
BUF gets: Staal
MIN gets: Thompson

Rangers
Excuse me.. I don't mean to cut in through the nimrods who regularly troll here.
You have a solid offer on the table, that does seem to need each side to offer one more thing. In this case, it's in Hayes accepting a contract extension with Boston; as well, that second player going to Boston being EITHER Pionk or DeAngelo. Likely, a third player to include would be Vesey.
The issue, REALLY, is in taking David Backes' contract in return. This is NOT a small contract.. the short-sighted among you SHOULD take this into account. Three years at $6 million dollars per is not chump change. Especially since Backes is 33, and not getting younger.
The sad fact that anyone can undersell the growth and development of Kevin Hayes, by declaring he is not worth a return including Charlie McAvoy is the blatant show ignorance that exists in the trolling of those on this site.
That said, consider including Jimmy Vesey and Neal Pionk to your deal to even out the ask.
Furthermore, since the Bruins have roughly $4+million dollars in cap space, IF you can rework the Bruins' lineup post-trade, trading Backes may not be necessary to get this done.
