I'd hardly call it an insane overpay, Beauvillier is a bottom 6er that Detroit has plenty within it's system. And Robin Salo is basically a career AHLer and and a late 1st and 2nd round pick. And one would assume that Bertuzzi come with an extension only increasing his trade value.

CGY doesn't give Mony away for free. There'd be other suitors that woudl easily pay at least a 2nd Rd Pick for him.
But... he does have a NTC and I imagine DET could be on that non-trade list of 10 teams.

Kings would not, lots of excellent top-6 free agents coming this year. I think they either want to swing for the fences and get someone like Forsberg or trade the assets needed for Chychrun.

Turcotte will be somewhere in the middle-6, he’s got a great tool kit so he’ll be fine playing big minutes if they can get his injuries under control.
As long as the Kings are still in on Chychrun as one of the front runners, I don’t see any of those players being moved.
Kings right side: Doughty, Roy, Durzi, Walker, Clarke, Faber Spence, Grans. Kings need help on the left not the right. Hronek isn’t the answer.

This is a terrible take, just cause we don't agree with you're trades and are rebuilding slowly through the draft has nothing to do with being a homer. Taking an aging player who is no longer useful and takes cap space doesn't help with our rebuild at all, it has nothing to do with being a homer.

Realistic fire sale
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HOCKEYBOY448</b></div><div>That’s how you know how delusional he and many other people are on here. Johnson may be overpaid, but let’s not pretend like he wouldn’t automatically become a top 6 player on Detroit cause of how terrible they are and the larger role he’d have. Same thing with Palat.</div></div>
He wouldn't even be in the top 6 guy, so we take a huge Contract for 4 more years on a guy who is declining rapidly? He would be frans Nielsen all over again. We are building through the draft and have 0 use for this player. Tampa has 2 gigantic rfas that they have to sign and have to shed cap space, they are in a bind and everyone should squeeze them for anything they can get. A first from tampa would be the 28-32nd pick, this is not worth taking on 4 years of 5+ million a year. 1 year at around the same salary was a 2nd, so 4 years of 5+ would be what, a pick that's about 10 picks higher then the 2nd we got for staal? I don't think so. the first is not even close to enough for us to take frans Nielsen part 2, the guy is barely a center anymore. He would be a 3rd line wing for us and eventually 4th line/buy out. So based on all of this, why would tj + the 28th-32nd pick be enough for the wings to take him? It's not even close.
As for me being delusional, I find it funny that I have been right on every single trade/non trade that has happened in real life.
Jj did not cost a 2nd to take his contract(jj + 2nd for wings to take him)
Andreas Johnsson did not get Toronto back a 2nd
Mantha was not traded for Domi 😂😂😂😂😂
Maata was not traded for a 3rd
Wings traded 0 picks
Wings did not sign one free agent past 2 year and minimum money. No Krug, markstrom, etc.
I follow the wings, I listen to yzerman, I see from his actions and words what he is doing, so me denying all of these trades isn't cause I'm a homer, its because I actually pay attention and know the direction of the team. You may think some trades are fair value and they may be with other teams, but coming from a wings perspective 98% of the trades are completely ridiculous and the wings will not do them based on how yzerman is growing this team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wingss</b></div><div>I would be fine drafting Marat 32nd. I wouldn’t draft Wallinder that high though. Rather just wait till 45 and save our 2nd next year. There’s a lot of good players still out there right now. I don’t think Wallinder is worth basically 2 second round picks and Hirose.</div></div>
Yeah I'm just so high on him and he won't last till 45. He's going to be the steal of this draft when he turns out to be Shea weber with speed. He's gigantic, left handed shot on D which we need, has a huge shot, uses his body, rushes into the play, is fast. I really think this guy with hronek, seider and mcissac(whoever we draft next year, owen power etc) just makes our top 4 special in a few years.
I'm higher on wallinder then anyone in this draft, I get you might not be and that's completely fine. I see nothing but pure skill and upside in his game

Also I don't think Krug is going to help Detroit alot. He can pass well, his shooting is alright, I mean the dude hasn't scored from the point in a while from what I remember. He's a good skater but struggles in front of the net due to his size so he needs to be paired with a bigger d-man, Marc Staal maybe?</div></div>
Thank You! krug is an average player who got a lot of assists from dishing it to guys like Pasta & Bergeron. Wings ACGMs want to overpay him for what he did in Bos with that team. I think 7M a year is too much and if he wants that or more let him go somewhere else. Adding a pick on top is even more ridiculous in my opinion. I appreciate your thought on pairing him with a guy like Marc Stall but the reason wings got Stall (and why some wings ACGMs want krug/LHD UFAs) is because the wings need left handed D to play the left side so 2 LHD playing with each other doesn't work for the wings.

I agree with what you said. I don't really think we should go after Krug since he's not great defensively, and by the time we're good again he'll have regressed to the point where he's on a bad contract. However, the exact term and salary you gave him here is the maximum I'd be willing to do.
