This is almost criminal,

As a pens fan: I would like to file a police report, this type of assault should not go unpunished

**** would be a ballsy ass trade. Basically each team saying "we're gonna be better than you for the next 3 years". Honestly I wish more teams would do fun stuff like this

Too much for Suzuki, although this would have so much comedy value. Nikishin shouldn't be on the table for someone that isn't a true 1C, Suzuki isn't.

A left nut isn't worth a much as it used to be. Some guys are giving them away for free these days but l think what you're offering is still fair value.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>caniac58</b></div><div>Why Burns? Honestly I thought Drury would be a more attractive piece than Burns because he's young. Burns is one of the oldest players in the NHL right now, and while he is still really good, I doubt he's the difference to put Minnesota in contention to win a cup. Not trying to pick a fight, just want to understand your opinion.</div></div>
I miss Burns...
I also think even for his age, hes still got a lot in the tank. He also is a more phsical defenseman which the Wild need. I know we have Bogosian and Middleton but more power is better on defense. (And it lets us ship Jon Merrill to Mars)

The package you're offering should be more than enough, but for MIN to consider moving JEE they'd have to evaluate the entire direction of their franchise. Are they going to do a full rebuild? Even if they frame it as a quick 'retool' does it risk alienating a guy like Kaprizov? It's a big deal for them as they've got nobody even close to replacing what Ek does.

If it was up to me I'd do it. Flames ownership probably says no though.

The Leafs would be stupid to decline this trade. This trade gives the Leafs 3 things, A top 2 D man, Cap Relief and 2 young assets (Necas and the 1st). Use that 1st for Tanev and theres a slight diminishing of the top 6 (already a stupidly strong one) but a HUGE improvement in the D core, the one spot the Leafs seem to never want to fix.

Why not
Got a bit frustrated about that Buffalo trade because every Carolina fan does it here and it’s still a no from Buffalo.
But that Pettersson trade is intriguing. I like it strangely enough but it’s not perfect in any ways. Considering Vancouvers lack of center depth I think that KK would have to be a part of it. Don’t really know his worth but Morrow and a 1st should at least be removed in compensation am I right? KK, Drury and 2 1st for Petey and Boeser seems fair to me.
This trade also indicates that Vancouver won’t try to compete in the next 1-2 years so they will probably be able to retain 50 on Boeser and potentially Pettersson if the cost is right. That brings enough cap space to keep Pesce and still have money left for a rental.
And no, Detroit should not be interested in Teuvo but it’s Yzerman so you’ll never know. The value is probably fair though so there’s probably another team that could be interested

Thinking outside the box
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>caniac58</b></div><div>I didn't say it was likely. I was just trying to think outside the box. I think us taking on his contract is unlikely too, but Waddell has also been known for wanting to buy low, sell high. This may be the best "buy low" opportunity we'll ever have at Huberdeau given what everyone knows he is still capable of doing under the right circumstances.</div></div>
I totally get what you’re thinking here. If Huby was signed for like 5 more years then maybe it would make sense, but the Canes are too smart to take a big contract for those years. Plus the contract is buyout proof, so you can get out of the later years. It’s hard to overstate how much damage Treliving did to the Flames franchise over his last year with the team

Lets try again
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>caniac58</b></div><div>That's more along the lines of what I was thinking. I'm not crazy about giving the 1st, 2nd, and Morrow in this trade. But I would do the 1st, Morrow, and another oddball piece like a Gunler, or a later round pick any day.
I think next year could be Carolina's chance to get the cup. (I would say this year, but our forward core is skating on crutches right now). So I don't mind mortgaging some future pieces for talent that has impact right now.</div></div>
They have a good team. Even goaltending is good. Kochetkov is going to be a very good goalie too. I do think that they are a littole to banged up to beat the Devils, but it all comes down to goal tending in the playoffs.
