Detroit is not a trade partner for Teräväinen, look elsewhere.

I’d take Necas in Detroit, even add a prospect and tell you to keep the 3rd.

I can't see Yzerman trading a 1st for Rental Turbo.

Got a bit frustrated about that Buffalo trade because every Carolina fan does it here and it’s still a no from Buffalo.

But that Pettersson trade is intriguing. I like it strangely enough but it’s not perfect in any ways. Considering Vancouvers lack of center depth I think that KK would have to be a part of it. Don’t really know his worth but Morrow and a 1st should at least be removed in compensation am I right? KK, Drury and 2 1st for Petey and Boeser seems fair to me.
This trade also indicates that Vancouver won’t try to compete in the next 1-2 years so they will probably be able to retain 50 on Boeser and potentially Pettersson if the cost is right. That brings enough cap space to keep Pesce and still have money left for a rental.

And no, Detroit should not be interested in Teuvo but it’s Yzerman so you’ll never know. The value is probably fair though so there’s probably another team that could be interested

I don’t think there’s anything appealing to Vancouver in the Pettersson trade to the point where they probably wouldn’t even take that for just Petey.

None of those pieces are a core piece in a Pettersson trade

I would do that as a Sabres fan.

Selective reading from OP. Made the same trade earlier Turbo for a 1st. Was told no and explained by several DRW fans but he didn’t respond. Since he posted it again, this time I simply read it as Necas instead. Both ideas ludicrous, I just like Necas a lot lol. I know that inserting him for Turno would require more.

Edit: also of the players listed, Detroit would probably have interest in order: Jarvis, Morrow, Pesce, Drury, Turbo

Idk…. I’m tempted
But idk that the Sabres are gonna want to give out a contract like that knowing they’re about to give Dahlin & Power somewhere between $17-20mil in Cap space

The only thing that makes me pause is, I heard his defensive metrics have dropped off in the last year or two. It's hard enough to evaluate a defensive defenseman. It's a long contract, if he's already starting to decline, it could be one of those Seabrook contracts. Having said that, the guy has been fantastic on a pretty good team for years now. I think it's all moot anyways, I can't see adams giving a 30 year old an 8 year deal, and pesce allegedly didn't wanna come here too.

Before somebody points it out, pesce is 28, so it would be next summer when a hypothetical 8 year contract would start, and he would be 29. Don't wanna overstate, I try to be objective. Unless I'm discussing mittelstadt or botterill, then I'm allowed some license.

There aren’t too many defensemen I’d sign to a contract that takes them past 35
Maybe if Boston bottoms out this year- entirely possible they miss the playoffs- then we can get Carlo from them for one of our 75 Centers we have (lol)

Too much Botterill hate on this site.
He made some terrible moves his last year, but he drafted and traded well.
My son thinks he hired Krueger as his Ted Nolan to get the team to tank so he could move out Murray's trash.
But the best players on this team are from him.
Last season:
Thompson______94 pts
Skinner_________82 pts
Tuch____________79 pts
Dahlin__________73 pts
Cozens_________68 pts
Mittelstadt_____59 pts

Defensemen TOI:
Dahlin_________25:48
Power_________23:48
Samuelsson___22:11
Jokiharju______21:01

GK games played:
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen_33
Craig Anderson__________26
Eric Comrie______________19

Five of the top 6 scorers, three of the top 4 d-men TOI and GK who played the most games from last year were all Botterill additions and he has been gone since 2020.
You may want to be a bit more objective, you are better than this.
