Potential CHI-VAN trade from The Athletic
Trade isnt very good and the Athletic proposed Jordan Poole and Kuminga for KPJ, roster players and three firsts including no 4 so I wouldn't take their trade proposals too seriously. Not to mention having 11 gives them flexibility in drafting Reinbacher, Willander, or any other RD available

His dad did, it isn't formal so I would hold off on trades. Management met with him, it isn't looking great

'23 first and Pickering would 100% be in the trade but we have no reason to trade him, he hasn't requested a trade

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Tintin</b></div><div>It’s not a slam dunk but this is more value given than what Meier, DeBrincat and Fiala got. It’s a very competitive offer I’m suggesting.
Blackwood is a throw-in.
If Columbus where to acquire Sharangovich he’d likely play 2C or 3C depending on when/if Roslovic is traded.
No they don’t.</div></div>
I promise you they do. The LA pick is in a good position while the 2nd is more than a whole round behind it and Columbus has no use for either player offered. Boston can easily get a better offer for Ullmark and that isnt even relatively close to getting Keller

Yeah IK thats why I'm asking if Detroit would be willing to not take the second and instead have that second transfered to Anaheim. Its hard to decline that much for one pick

Its worth it to get Fantilli. If the Wings are fine without the second, it can be lowered down

St. Louis -- Lost Tarasenko and ROR, 27th ranked defense, prospect pool won't be NHL ready for a while. Entire blueline is over 30 (5 have NTC). Gonna be some lean years ahead.
Winnipeg -- Likely to make some moves, but unless its a full sell-off, they still have the personnel to compete.
Nashville -- lost Granlund, Ekholm, Jeannot, Niederreiter. But get Josi, Forsberg back healthy. Imagine we will see more changes, so will be interesting what they look like after summer.</div></div>
Yeah I don't agree with Nashville here, we have a solid roster and I think someone like Tomasino or Glass could get 50-60 points in the right scenery

I think Detroit finally takes the step, was considering them though, Winnipeg collapsed so hard after the ASB and if they sell they could easily be a bottom feeder team

Sure take out the second but thats enough, to move up from 12 to 3 it took a Houston first next year, no 33, and a third. That is a bigger move up for an equally generational talent. Each trade is quite equal

Why is Monty not good enough
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jonh514</b></div><div>You're right that it's not the point of this post, but am actually thinking:
CBJ prefer the center who actually played center this past season in Smith. Best player available is Michkov, but they will be drafting by organizational need.
SJS, who are going to go deep in their rebuild, will draft BPA, Michkov. He's so much more offensively gifted than Carlsson, so he can be a cornerstone piece of a deep rebuild.
That leaves the Habs with Carlsson by default. I'm ok with any of the 3, but I see it going down like this.</div></div>
I see it, but if Carlsson falls to four, hes a perfect fit for SJS. I also think if they don't want Carlsson, other teams would be calling in immediately, hes too good to let fall to five. A team like Arizona could come in from 6 and SJS could still get Michkov

trading the pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Jokiharju is a roster player. Pick 28 and Liljegren get you pick 13, not pick 13, a roster player and a fourth. And I think that this trade evaluates Lijegren as a #2 RhD (which some may argue is generous), because if he's only a #3 RhD, Buffalo has that already and shouldn't be making this trade at all.</div></div>
Lilly is easily a 2RD and can be a solid option at 1RD with a good partner. Joki is significantly worse

I agree, but Philly is right there and they are another spot for reinbacher so idk if you want to take that risk
