Jets and Habs Swap Assets
this Has to be a troll, this can’t be serious, is petry really a deal at 5.5 for 3 more years, and u also trade niemi as he’s worth anything he’s been bouncing ever since he left sj with minimal value, and a third rounder for a first rounder two years ago a top 4 dman and a forward with durability issues, that you call a cap dump but what is really a leader in room, and between him and little withstand a lose of wheeler next summer if it goes that way, and a cheap token veteran goalie that ends up spending the majority of his time with moose. Got to be a troll

this is just a terrible trade from a Habs fan thinking that other teams are going to give them every asset that is better than the ones they are giving up.

Again with posting a trade that heavily favors the Habs but trying to play it off like you're a fan of the team getting screwed?

terrible terrible terrible, terrible.
This trade is terrible for both, it doesn't come close to making the cap work for Chicago(they would have like 50million committed to six players) If the cap was high enough they would be all over the deal.
the pens downgrade significantly at multiple positions and all they get in return is one first and a couple seconds which is basically a bag of pucks compared to what they are giving up.

You probably want to see the entire left side of the deal for Malkin only or Letang only.
It could be a 1st pick off or another player/prospect off.
Both are starting to show their age a bit as far as durability goes, but who knows, maybe they can both go strong until their 40.

Anisimov and Boqvist are downgrades to Malkin & Letang, but are younger (and Boqvist with big upside)
The picks would help PIT with filling their pipeline
Pittsburg gets some huge cap relief
Chicago has an older team, so probably not quite as desireable from their end.
They still have several older players underperforming to salary that they would need to unload.</div></div>

After seeing the Skinner move I agree. I would have taken Skinner over him though but really we dont need a single forward anymore. Maybe a flyer on a veteran winger |(like Nash but yes I know its unlikely). Depth on the right side d is needed if anything

They can do it until his contract expires. Then do it again until his next contract expires. And there is no 3rd line on the leafs. its 1A,1B,1C and 4th.
Regardless of rivals, no one on montreal will work on the leafs. We don't want to infect our roster with them.

josi and krug were a toss up....krug had more points so he won over josi.....though josi d numbers are slightly better either one would be a solid choice like I said they both had great seasons I could only pick one
Carlson lead all defenders in points and won the cup he had a fantastic year.....finished 5th in Norris voting....honestly could have put him higher but didn't want to be unfair.....dumba is also a solid choice
caps fan not trying to be bias so I put few inferior wingers above Wilson.....but realistically Wilson should be the only name on this list

I don't think Murray would trade Montour even up for Pacioretty, who is the player the Ducks really need (I guess Jeff Skinner just doesn't like the beach).

Karlsson
Ottawa has been trying to move EK for a while. His pending UFA status is likely the biggest hurdle for teams looking to trade for him, as he seems intent on being in charge of where he signs. Essentially that makes him a "rental only" piece, which has Ottawa in a pickle because the return becomes underwhelming for a generational talent and the face of the team.
It's questionable that he would even sign with Toronto, as rumors have him wanting out of Canada in general. And if this is meant as a rental....just no lol.
Then there's the price...Toronto has a very slippery slope ahead of them cap wise, you really want to sign another player to a giant contract for 7 years?
IF he were to sign...I think Nylander OR Liljegren and the 1st with maybe a 2nd/ 3rd tier prospect would make more sense.

How to work a BLOCKBUSTER
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>you are welcome to your opinion, but it is not close</div></div>
In your opinion, that is. Neither is better than the other.
Stone's an amazing player, but He's heading to UFA that's for sure, which diminish his value a little bit. And you are definitely undervaluing Maata. He's a top4 d-man on any team in the league, can eat big minutes against top player, is a very good skater, is just 24 years old with 5 NHL season under his belt (and 68 playoffs GP already), his health problems seems to be over now, he's sign for 4 more years at a very reasonable contract, his advanced stats are better than average...He'd be a very nice get for OTT.
Plus you also undervalue what D.Sprong can bring to the table. He's young and can scores tons of goals. He'll have a great season this year, just watch him. The upside is definitely there.
I think, the way I set it up in my first comment, is a very fair trade for both sides and if you're a Sens fan, you shouldn't hate the deal so much because yoy might come up ahead in less than two years time.

I think this is pretty close to fair. I would take out Batherson, though, and switch the OTT 2nd in 2020 for a 3rd in 2019.
PIT gets M.Stone + OTT 2019 3rd round pick
OTT get s D.Sprong + O.Maata+ C.Hagelin + PIT 2019 1st round pick + PIT 2020 3rd round pick

I do agree you guys are likely to make the playoffs, cup run? Please, Jake Allen isn't good enough, and he never will be you guys give him this long leash, look how quick the Leafs acted on mediocre goalies (unbias) if you guys really wanna play, you would've been in on Grubauer Andersen, Fleury, Lehner (Who put up a 920 on **** team 2 years ago and same numbers as Allen this year on Buffalo, and Raanta. For that reason you guys aint anything to write home about. Plus Hutton was great last season, if you aren't hammering teams in their own end you guys aren't a cup contender. JAKE ALLEN SUCKS.

TBH....this trade definately wouldn't <em>"**** up their defense handedness"</em>
<strong>Morrissey - Trouba
Kulikov - Byfuglien
Chiarot - Myers
Morrow - Poolman</strong>
One side is a lot stronger than the other....and it's not the left side....Winnipeg would do well to swap a good RD for a good LD.
<strong>This trade is bad value</strong>....there's no reason to make up other reasons to **** on it.
And Bracco isn't "useless". He's a 2nd round pick (that's living up to his draft expectations at minimum).
<strong>If you wan't to call out someones bias....don't use biased arguments to do it....or people like me will take your soul.</strong>
