you dont humor people who do this in real life either
why would you online ?
but feel free to continue to deflect</div></div>
Change the narrative? You brought up KK and potential with no facts to support it, I brought up actual numbers that suggest Jost wont reach his previous potential of a top 6 forward. And if you want to get technical on points since you said KK only had 8 this year, career wise in 2 seasons, Kk has more p/g than Jost. (0.33 vs 0.36)

Blockbuster Trade with COL Realistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy739</b></div><div>Same exact arguement can be said about KK
he's got less points and games then Jost in his first 2 years playing as an 18 year old
Seems like a flawed logic based solely on offense and not potential</div></div>
So you want to argue that Jost >/= KK because he put up more consistent numbers? If Jost has so much potential, then why isn't he playing in the top 6, heck even in the top 9? The guy has almost the same amount of points as Nate Thomson (given Thomson has played more games) and is also playing on the 4th line for Colorado. I admit that KK is having a bad year, but so many kids do so during their sophomore campaigns. Jost may have been a target during the draft but lets not pretend like he has more than middle 6 potential at this point, heck, even Bellemare is playing above this guy.
If Colorado wants Tatar, their going to have to dig deeper in their pockets than Jost.

Blockbuster Trade with COL Realistic
This is listed as realistic but if you look at Coleman trade and Tofolli trade that have now set the market....I doubt this is close in value. Toffoli is at 0.586 p/g, Coleman is at 0.544 p/g and Tatar is at 0.870 p/g with another year left on his contract. Jost, a 1st and a 3rd is enough for a winger that drive the play and is going to hit 70 points this year?? You said it yourself that Jost may bust but only through in a 3rd to make up for it, I get that he is only 21 but at this point Montreal does not need another winger with sub 0.5 p/g. If Colorado wants Tatar, they will have to spend a lot and Jost as the player coming back doesn't even begin the conversation.

Kovalchuk for Puljujarvi
So, out of curiosity, what makes you think that Puljujarvi is worth a 4th liner and a player who currently has 12 points in 18 game for the habs. While Puljujarvi is in Ligga, admittedly at 44 points in 45 games, I just dont see the value coming back to montreal, especially when it was rumored that Edmonton was looking for a second for Puljujarvi while receiving no interest.

(BUF/MTL) - Scandella for 2020 4th round pick (SJS)
Would have felt better by sending over the Jets 4th round pick...but a difference of 16 picks wont kill us. Overall, probably a fair deal....doesn't change the needle much for Montreal though....

Laval got off to a slow start this year, similar to last year. He is currently sitting at 14 points in 19 games and 3rd on the team. Im hoping Laval picks it up in the upcoming couple weeks, they are 4-4-2 in their last 10 and sit 3rd in their division but have played more games than anyone else in their division aswell.

Its an interesting thought, im not sure if it would be worth a trade for Montreal at the moment. Vejdemo is, as far as I can tell right now, at best a 4th line center in potentially the next couple of years but is already 23 as you mentioned above. Perhaps Djoos would be of interest, however Julien probably wouldn't like him due to his defensive game. Sutter or Clark may be the best options, however they only have 4 games each in the AHL this year? Not sure whats thats about but they are Right handed wingers with size that Montreal lacks at the moment. If they put up a bit more numbers, I could see them both Sutter and Clark being an option for Montreal.

Use the Karlsson to San jose trade as an example for value. Just as a note, your over paying here and Karlsson is considered the much better player.

As a fan of neither team, I can say with quite a bit of confidence that it is a gross over payment on Calgary's part....its arguably a better return than Karlsson got..

Honestly I dont follow the Oilers closely enough, I thought RNH has been playing on McDavids wing? or did they move Draisaitl back there? I suppose if he is centering his own line and putting up these numbers with Edmonton...Montreal would probably have to add to the golden boy to get RNH

why would we want to offer sheet marner and pay the four 1st round picks that its going to take? Not to mention the bad reputation we would then get because we offer sheet someone

22 y/o B prospect

2019 1st
Evans
2020 3rd or 22/23 y/o B prospect
If Martinez is a bit worse, just a 1st and Evans should do</div></div>
Well...Martinez is both older than Muzzin and not as good as Muzzin...therefore it stands to reason that it would cost less...oh and just because the leafs paid a very high price for Muzzin doesn't mean the Habs need to pay a very high price for Martinez...Bergevin has already mentioned that he is not mortgaging the future for now, that includes trading prospects and our high picks.
