Really? I like his game. Can be tough, and has skills. Rangers need that toughness up front.

No way. Danault is more of a defensive forward and his offensive abilities will diminish within two years. I'd trade Buch for Domi, though.

Reshaping Panthers v30 Revisiting Laine
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kukas26</b></div><div>I think Florida should get a little more back. maybe like a 2nd or something like that. I’m not quite sure what.
Also, Cody Ceci.... he’s not worth 5 mil. maybe 2, if he’s lucky lol. and definitely not a top pairing guy.
If you trade Ekbald, you’d want to sign a guy like Brodie, or maybe even Pietro if you really wanted. but Cody Ceci is not the guy you want.
However, I would love to see Huberdeau-Barkov-Laine.</div></div>
Well, you never know with UFA. Typically players get a lot more than what they are worth. So it would not surprise me. Reason that Ceci would be coveted by the Panthers would be for defense only. They are in need of a defensive dman that can cover for Yandle's mishaps. He is still fairly young, and could work out well. Brodie is offensive minded and wouldn't work out with Yandle. Pietrangelo will get an albatross of a contract.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>5mil is significant, it’s worse than Zaitsev and Johnson and for much MUCH longer, you’re betting a lot on him rebounding and that would financially cripple Ottawa (it also clogs up the right side with Zaitsev and Matheson for 4+ years when we have Brannstrom, JBD, and Thomson all gonna challenge for a spot either this year or next)</div></div>
Welp, Pittsburgh took the bait lol

No chance. Only if Ekblad is dealt, but it wouldn't make sense either.

They need help up front if they're losing Hoffman and Dadonov, and I think they will because they will go to the highest bidder. Brodie is added, and they have some new young dmen to use.

Revamping Panthers Via Big Trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>Ottawa hard declines, Matheson sucks and is signed for 6 more years, which is 4 too long for cap dumps we’re willing to take. And you didn’t even try to tempt with the multiple 1sts it would take? Come on now
Also Johnny is not on the outs with the Flames organization at all, and we’re looking for a good goalie, not a 3rd stringer</div></div>
His cap is not high, and if he turns it around when he was as good as that contract projected him to be, then it is a steal.
A few rumors have Johnny out of favor, but hence why I said "unlikely". Flames could still get a good goalie. There are a handful of good UFA goalies and some goalies on the trade block.

Disappointment RETOOL Pietro and Lafreniere and Kuemper
Trades are actually quite good, in theory. I'd say they are fair. Rangers would improve with that deal, too. I just don't see why the Leafs would do it when they are challenging for the Cup. If Lafreniere is not ready then Leafs basically gave away three starting roster players and find themselves with holes.
Too risky.

Not a bad deal, but if I'm the Oilers I would rather keep Nurse. If I'm a Rangers fan,and I am, I'd do it.

Until it is proven dmen with 160+ NHL games it's hard to say if they will be able to fill in Nurse's position.

Who says he will accept the role as 7th D full time? Henrik retires? Would be good, like Lu, but he is still healthy and I don't think he wants to give up just yet. Bozak is aging and at $5M cap for a 3rd liner? No thanks. Why would Anaheim want DeAngelo? Their D is fine. I like the methodology you used here and your mindset, though.

I think you did more to change the D than the bottom six. Bozak no. Demers no. What happens to Henrik? Need to get rid of Staal. Can't have him be dead weight like that.

Dobber: "Anthony is a skilled <strong>offensive defenseman</strong>. His puck skills and playmaking ability are excellent. He sees the ice very well and creates offensive scoring chances with great passes. He has a very good shot and gets it on net. DeAngelo likes to jump up into the rush and makes good decisions with the puck. His defensive work though is something to be desired." <--- Those are the signs of an offensive defense man not a 2-way defenseman.
In general his stats look good cause he was mainly rotating between the 2nd and third pairing with Trouba and since he didnt PK his stats werent affected by that either.</div></div>
Yes, but this past season he was actually good defensively. But, I don't see Calgary needing him anyway either.

Georgie played 34 games, 3 GAA and a .91 SV%. No way that's a $4M goalie. He has no bargaining chip either. Fast possibly could get that much, but I think more of a five year deal at just under $4M.

Tony D was quite good defensively and got a lot better. He's a solid 2-way d-man. I don't think the Rangers should trade him either. He was too good.
