Fixing the cap now
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>johnnyu22</b></div><div>The Jets just fixed their defensive depth and now have a very solid D core, why would they dish out their best young Defenseman in Stanley and and Demelo who is very solid. No thanks - if it comes down to it, look to trade Copp - he is looking for a bigger role and would eliminate cap and fetch prospects.</div></div>
I’d rather move Stanley and demelo than Copp tbh. Copp is our best defensive forward and is just starting to come into his own offensively. If his number starts with a 4, the jets should get it done in my opinion.
When all is said and done, as much as I like what demelo brings, he is truly an offensive black hole. As for Stanley, I would be okay not doing the gudas trade. As I said, I just think that trade makes the jets better now in a year where they seem like they are going for it
Also, heinola is our best young defensemen. There’s no debate there. Heinola outplayed both of benn and Stanley in the end of season rotation and he was getting better each game

I wonder what the breaking point is to shift that top line. Hopefully Dubois is used effectively.
I also like the idea of Stas playing with Wheeler at some point.

Minor Re-Tool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>johnnyu22</b></div><div>Roslovics offensive upside alone is projected to be much higher than Andersons, but I dont see a clear position for him to move up the lineup in Winnipeg. Copp is good but will also be stuck in a fourth line role. This trade adds a big tough player in Anderson and could provide a fresh look for all players involved.</div></div>
Okay fair.. but roso I think should be traded for team needs like a LHD and for copp I personally think he has a better shot at C2 than little but if anything it would be a 1 for 1 trade..

Totally...I was checking Beaulieu's stats and they are actually fairly decent...This is why I put him with Byf...Byfuglien wont tolerate crap so Nate the great may actually work there.

Jets overpay on Anderson, Hayes could prob get that at the tdl. Maybe a 2nd (+?) for Anderson, Roslovic hot af

Don't think Jets should move Roslovic. You can get Anderson for cheaper than that.

Jets Trade Deadline - Realistic
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>johnnyu22</b></div><div>Good point! I could easily see those players being replaced with Samberg and Lemieux. Unfortunately, if the Rangers think they will get a first round pick AND a first round prospect (roslovic or vesalainen) they are going to be disappointed with what they are offered at the deadline. For a rental, picks and lower-tier prospects are what they're gonna get. Hayes is a solid 2C, but lets be honest here, he isn't going to fetch the same return "elite" rentals (Panarin) would get, which would include high end prospects.</div></div>
yeah obviously if Ves is included the 1st is off of the table-- i could see a conditional 2nd rounder if wpg gets to the stanley cup final or resigns hayes tho. rangers could even take on kulikov if it was make or break for the deal, include an expiring contract like claesson to fill the void left on the third pair

rangers don't want petan and stanley doesn't fit the new NHL-- he's too slow and takes too many pentalties. Replace Stanley with Samberg and Petan with Lemieux and it'd be fair. But the rangers are looking for quality over quantity. They are going to push for (although they may not get) Vesalainen or Roslovic and there really is no reason not to push for them. Especially since Nashville is also in on him, I foresee a bidding war before the deadline.

Wennberg is a decent two way Center(plus 22 goal diff) and Savard will be a great 3RD.
Wennberg also only makes 4.9Mill

You absolutely trade Zdina for Trouba (if you can get him to an extension which being from DET is likely very doable). Zdina is still a prospect and has proven nothing in the NHL. Trouba is a true #1 RHD. That value isn't even close. Add in Lowry and DET is laughing all day at that trade!
WPG absolutely says no to that deal if Lowry is included

So... the convention among regular users on here is to type the player's name and then (RFA) into the "additional details" field of the trade. Yes, Larkin for Trouba and some stuff seems about reasonable. I don't know about Larkin and two seconds for Trouba and some stuff.

Montour for Trouba?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>johnnyu22</b></div><div>I see no reason why this trade wouldn't work player-for-player. Would give Trouba a fresh look on an American team, which he seems to desire, and would give the Jets another young star</div></div>
What would it really mean is that Anaheim would get stability defensively and Winnipeg no1 defender who would get to 45-50 point range in 2yrs. Trouba would stabilize defence

Defence once Trouba is gone...Would VCR do this?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>johnnyu22</b></div><div>Ya thats true but the Jets don't need him, we'd rather just run Morrissey, Niku, Chariott/Morrow on the left side and save some cap room. That gives us a strong shut down puck moving D, an offensive talent in Niku, and two tough shut down guys in Chariott and Morrow - we don't fave a hole on the left side that we need to plug up. And in all honesty, without Trouba, we won't have much of a hole on the right side either, but it would be nice to get some sort of replacement for Trouba.</div></div>
It gives us an option tho. Plus we save 1.33 on cap relief. And if he doesn't do well on a good Jets team, he is gone next year anyways.
