Yeah thats what I thought, so 17 + Drouin for:? or 28th + Drouin for?

Montreal Trading up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nighthawk</b></div><div>For starters Habs pick later than 17th every round they win I believe. So that diminishes the trade. Drouin could use a change of scenery but it’s starting to get old much like Domi. Not saying a team wouldn’t take a flyer on him but it could take an added sweetener to take on salary.
Vancouver my time might listen but the fans would go ape as they will on almost any move JB tries lol
Add Cale Fleury & it might make Jimbo take it. Force him aka gotta make him say yes. 9oa he’ll want. So that’s my counter & closes in on or close.</div></div>
Fleury Drouin 17th pick vs 9th I think ill do it. But like I said are you sure that our pick drop even of we won one round? I know if we beat the jets its gonna be like 28-29 but I think we still pick 17th right now

Montreal Trading up

So no there is almost no scenario where they can trade up without making another move first to get into the 12-17 range.</div></div>
Are you sure about that? Cause like 2 years ago when the Avs lost in the second round against the sharks they still picked 16, I don’t know it there is any new rule?

haahahah thats what I was tinking, Marner feeding caufield with zuk centering them will be electric. Even if I dont't think he's gonna get trade, mtl would be like one of the last team tor will trade him to.

Habs dont take that... I doubt we will even trade gallagher but if we do its for picks and prospect. He's the hearth of the team and a consitent 30 goal scorer.

Habs decline. I get he's good offensively but he has too much outside problem for us to trade a 20 yo 3rd overall pick. I'll do Drouin and Poehling for Kuznetsov so the caps save cap and gets a potential 2/3rd line center + a skilled winger who could explode in another team

Toffoli + Chiarot for Butcher NYI's first and a good prospect or a young guy. The thing is the pick is gonna be late 20 and its not really a good draft so njd will have to give a top 6 or top 4 prospect

Kuzy Drouin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Eli</b></div><div>"but caps need to save money and drouin is on a shorter deal. Maybe add a contract going back to montreal or a pick going back to wsh?" WSH doesn't need an upgrade from $1.5M Sheary at 3L to nearly $6M Drouin there. They need two middle six centers and a raise for Ovechkin in Kuznetsov's cap space, so they have depth. It'd be Hagelin and Kempny four Drouin, with a pick and a prospect for Kuznetsov. Then they'd flip Drouin to Edmonton or Pittsburgh for whatever.</div></div>
How about adding Poehling? I think he was great in the ahl last year and is ready for a nhl role. He’s not the best but project to be a good middle 6 center.

Yeah but since kuzy is a more proven player who hit the 80 pts mark I think its worth taking more money

Habs reconstruction

Wild aren't trading their top prospect much less their 2022 1st round pick in a much better draft
Wild have zero room or need for another winger.
So no. Because wild also have matt boldy who they will need room for already, & still have to try & find boldy room
Your reasoning is faulty because for like the millionth time, wild aren't trading for any wingers
Cameron hills is nothing, zero
3rd round pick is nothing
Wild are going to trade for a winger, much less an older winger with cap . It's not happening .
Wild are going to prioritize paying kaprizov, fiala, & Joel Eriksson Ek with the cap they have, & complete the team
Have no idea why Montreal fans proposal on here are never realistic
Wild Also have Marco rossi, Alexander khovanov and marat Khusnutdinov
Not to mention nico sturm.
<a href="/users/seanross" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@seanross</a></div></div>
dude chill its a acgm... and idk men toffoli could be a good sniper withe kaprisov even if he’s 29 years old he can score 30g. You have a lot of prospects and picks, beckman is good but he’s asn’t prove anything and the pick could be a late first, for a 29 years old scorer. I don’t think its that crazy

That contract is honestly terrifying
Flashes of "Davey Jones Locker" Clarkson there
Clarkson
30 goals at 27
15 goals 9 assists 24 points in 48 games at 28
Anderson
27 goals at 24
17 goals 7 assists 24 points in 48 games at 26
Likely a bit better but...
😬</div></div>
He’s on pace for almost 30 goal. If he can put at least 20-30 goal for the next couple year + is physical size I think its worth the 5m. Also Anderson isn’t a lucic style of player he’s fast and he won’t get that slow over year. He’s a Tom Wilson/Tkachuk type of player and he’s exactly what the habs need

The Centerpiece of the dynasty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>Great analysis but I think some of you point totals are a bit low. For example 18-19 KK had 34 points this year he is also on pace for 34 points (prorated). You are projecting that he will only improve his totals by 26 points but say he will be an elite center. I see him hitting a PPG in his prime years. Zuke is currently on pace for 55 points (prorated) even with the slump earlier in the year. But again your only projecting him to put up 20 more points a season in his prime?! That is dumbfounded, elite centers usually put up between 70-90 points in an 82 game season. 2nd line centers put up 60 points a year! I think both KK and Zuke will be PPG players in the next 1-3 years.</div></div>
I hope you’re right. Its just to be realistic, but I can see KK and Zuk being ppg

Keep it until you have to sign your Elite young guys. Sign them longterm like the havs did with Landeskog Mackinnon and Rantanen. Then when all your big pieces are sign and the team can contend you use whats left to add player in the lineup like the avs did with Burakovsky Toews Saad etc..

MTL Rebuilding New Plan
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Maybe Detroit accepts. Every other team rejects with extreme prejudice.</div></div>
With the market we have now there is a lot of thing possible. In my head if Savard or Foligno can fetch a first, Toffoli can surely fetch a 1rst and a prospect, maybe not pitts but on other teams. That was not a exact plan where I want the player to be traded but more of general idea of a rebuilding. I don’t know of chiarot could get us a 2cnd but scandella got us one so I can expect at least a high 3rd. Also for weber, a team could manage cap space to take him. If he retires all of his cap goes to NSH so its not that abd. The only one I don’t see happening is the price trade but ots a armchair gm so🤷♂️
