<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tony135420</b></div><div>Although I do agree with DeHaan being worth a 3rd, I cannot see Flower getting a 1st or 2nd even at 50% retained and Hagel being worth a top prospect AND a 1st. At the end of the day, Hagel is a middle 6 forward. Period. He is underpaid for the next 2 years, yes, but not enough to garner a top prospect and a 1st. That is what Chi is asking, not what I believe they will get.</div></div>

Let's be clear, Chicago isn't shopping Hagel either. They've also received multiple offers of a 1st and good prospect in which they've said no. We can interpret the definition of good prospect all we want, but knowing that they aren't shopping Hagel and they've said no to a 1st and good prospect, simple logic would suggest it's going to take a high end prospect and 1st to get them motivate to sell an asset they aren't shopping. Now whether you think Hagel is worth that or not is irrelevant; it is what it is.

The question you should be asking yourself is; would you want a more talented version of Andrew Shaw at the age of 23 on a very good contract and RFA making cup runs over the next few years and if so, is that worth a late 1st (bag of magic beans) and Robertson?

Flowers is absolutely worth a 2nd at half retained; to suggest otherwise is just not credible. Look at the Lehner trade to Vegas as an example. Taking back cap dumps, likely moves the 2nd to a 1st and Mrazek is a cap dump and not just for a year either; doubt the Hawks would consider Flowers half retained in exchange for Mrazek and a late 1st.
