Description

Brown I trade for what basically everyone projects Brown to get traded for. Simple enough.

Vesey I see going mostly for third rounders and lottery ticket prospects, so I ask the Rangers to take 1 year of Gagner's salary with a lottery ticket and a project d-man that actually made the american WJHC team last year.

Hoffman is someone I think Florida moves on from, they are going to make a run at the big name FAs and need money to do it, plus Hoffman only has a year left. They paid a lot less than the package that I am offering to get him, I actually think its an overpay on the Oilers part but my god to they need scoring wingers.

Drouin will be the controversial one. But its three top 90 picks over the next few years including the 8th overall this year and a fairly promising prospect for a player that most fans seem to want rid of.

The problem here is, no matter the result of your team in the short term, long term this team will suffer. You liberally trade away high picks and prospects for the short term gain. Not necessarily a great move by a team that is still in rebuild

The Drouin trade isn't the worst I've seen on here... Good job! I still doubt that MB trade him two years after getting him. MTL fans (most of them) are always bipolar with that kind of player, but if he start the year like he did last season, those same fans will claim he's the best frenchy since Lafleur!

Given that Drouin hasn't captured the hearts of Montreal's Quebec-based fans, I could certainly see them do this deal, especially since it would allow them to press for Panarin or Duchene.

And, kudos, the Oilers would be a much better team for this.
