Hate to generalize a whole fan base, but Sabres fans are high as a kite these days!

Florida would never do that trade with us. Also you can't do conditional pick like that anymore.

Given his contract, the fact that he's one of the best 2 way centers in the game and that hes a ppg player, you could make the argument that Barkov just as valuable as Eichel. Now add a 100 point winger, also signed to a steal of a deal. Now look at that deal. I doubt any Sabres fan would accept that value just for Eichel, let alone adding in a top 5 winger in the league last year.

Unfortunately its not that easy to take the two best players from a team, especially when their contracts are both top 5 in value in the league.

MTL fans are a close 2nd. for imagining Domi coming off a down year on a 50 point pace is worth the 8th overall pick in stacked forward class.
