Everyone and their mom loves to overvalue chychrun on this site. Eichel went for 2 first-round assets, a middle 6 winger and a 2nd. Then we have these absurd trades like https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/537999 . Chychrun had 1 outstanding season and yall value him more than gold. His price should be no more than 2 firsts and A-C grade prospect. Yes he is young and has room to develop and is on a good contract but this is getting ridiculous

I agree, he's certainly overvalued around here, but there's a difference between him and Eichel.

How many teams actually had a shot to realistically acquire Eichel? 5 tops? Add the injury on top and that drops his value.

30 teams in the league will inquire about what the Yotes are looking for if their willing to move Chychrun, which will bump his value up.

Arizona doesn't really need to move him unless they get an offer they can't refuse.

I compare him to Yandle, which was basically Duclair (when he was poised to break out) a 1st and 2nd. The picks were flipped to Detroit to draft Chychrun.

I'd be cautious about going much higher.

i think it’s important to note a few things: chychrun hasn’t asked out (unlike eichel), he doesn’t have a severe medical issue (like eichel did), and he’s on a really cheap deal with term. what motive does AZ have to move him right now if they’re not getting an incredible package?
