  1. Anderson, Josh
Additional Details:
Why would Montreal move Anderson for less value than what the 2nd OVA pick is? Since the player projected to go 2nd OVA is basically just a younger version of Anderson who has not proved anything to date? To me (and this is just my opinion here) Anderson would have more value than Slafkovsky since Slaf only has about a 10-20% chance of being better and a 50-60% chance at being the same player as Anderson and a 20-40% chance of not being as good. Anderson is already established and Slaf has 5 goals in 31 games in a men's league. How do you plan to suggest to Hughes that he should move Josh for a player (12 OVA) who has a 50% chance to be no more than a 3rd line player and a 50% chance of not even making the NHL? If Anderson is the player Slafkovsky could "potentially" be, why doe he have less value in fans eyes?

Because that's how prospects are valued. If Slafkovsky has a 10% chance of being better than Anderson he's doing it for 925K for the first 3 years then probably under 3M for the next few until then when he's paid like Anderson to be better or equal to than Anderson. Also moving the 2nd overall for a guy with 5 years at 5.5M as opposed to at least 7 years of control with a lower cap hit for most of those years is where a lot of the value is derived from. Teams like to have control of their prospects and develop them their own way, there's a ton of value in that.

Because Slafkovsky will get better and Anderson definitely will not. His best season was 3 years ago. Anderson also doesn't know how to pass the puck.

Assume this is a troll though.
