I understand this is just mean at this point. As for the Devils trading a first for one year of Kane it might be worth it since they loaded on the draft to get a player to teach the kids how to win and maybe a small window extension.

Kane would have a lot more fun playing in New Jersey that's for sure. Mine as well have us retain 1/2, I'm sure our GM would take just the 1st given his track record

If Kane gets traded, he'll go to wherever he wants to go and CHI will take whatever they can get. I wouldn't expect that place to be NJ.

Kane isn't going to do Davidson any favours by going to the top bidder.

Probably not going to be much of a bidding war with only 3 contenders, but either way. I wouldn't expect more than a 1st and mid tier prospect if they retained, which would probably be a little less than they got for Debrincat.
