Taking advantage of low cap hits of ELC's is a great way to try and win a cup. Wouldn't want the jackets to do this even. Very well could be in the minority of that opinion though

I wouldn’t put KJ in the trade. Him and Sillinger would be off limits for me.

Most any other young gun or prospect would be on the board, though.

Jiricek is also at least 1-2 years out.

Robertson doesn’t want a bridge deal. I don’t see him wanting one in a different city either

Cause to your point, he ain't gonna be happy with a trade to a team that's just going to offer him what DAL is offering him. JRob would be fantastic, but I don't think he is the difference in turning CBJ into a competitor, particularly if we're going to hand him the kind of long-term money he wants; and if I'm making a trade to ship out my top kids, it's for a trade that'll do that.

For CBJ, that'd need to be for a bona-fide 1C or something.
