This Hawks fan would say yes....a little reluctantly....but yes. I think Jones game ages well and with the cap supposedly going up a good chunk the next couple of Summers, the 9.5 cap hit toward the end of his deal won't look as bad as it does currently. That said, I would finish tearing it down to the foundation and wipe the slate clean of Bowman contracts/deals.

Doubt Jones waives for the Nucks as when he signed it was supposedly Dallas or the Hawks and absolutely not Canada if I recall. Maybe bottom feeding losing has altered his perspective.

This would be a classic Canucks move.

Hawks decline. They aren't looking to move Jones. And they certainly don't need the cap space.

Cap space is a thing. This is not possible for the Canucks. Not only is there enough space this year for this, but with the signing needed next year, there is definitely no space. This requires Brock being traded at a minimum.
