So for a 1st pairing Dman at 4.6mil with term Ottawa gets:

Rental vet OFD who doesn't change anything for Ottawa
Large AHL depth player
Tweener Dman who wouldn't even be an upgrade on Brannstrom

Ottawa and Chicago both easily decline. Rangers don't acquire Chych or dump Goodrow without giving up something of value in both trades.

They would want Matthew Robertson over jones. They would want sykora of rempe. Taking Gus is pointless for both teams. We would just keep him for a 7D. And then I have to think NYR might still need to add. But my package is much close to value and what they would like
