    The only Islander assets we would trade Zegras for are Barzal, Dobson and Pulock. And I can't see the Islanders ever doing any of that.

    That is a terrible trade, but for the opposite reason. Palmieri is a 20-goal scorer on a reasonable contract with no term beyond next season - basically a one-year middle-six rental. The Isles aren't going to get a massive package back for him or anything, but there's no way they'd have to pay to get someone to take him.
