I actually find the delusion in people who think Markstrom has value at age 34, has a full NMC to dictate where he can go, and has been a meh ~.900 SV% goaltender for the last few seasons is worth a $6M cap hit and big assets. The Kings have been able to get better goaltending from guys worth $1M or less this season statistically.

I'm trying to understand how you think a 28 year old minor leauger is worth a 5th round pick to a rebuilding team. In what world does that make sense?
