I'm sorry, too old for me to consider taking in for the remainder of the season.
I need to recoup missing picks and younger guys. I fear my roster is already too old.
Any interest in Jannik Hansen or Joel Ward as some depth scoring help?

Definitely no to Halak. And the other guys again are too old. I don't want to become a dumping ground for everyone's aging players.

It's becoming increasingly clear I took over a team that was run into the ground by previous management. That being said it looks like the remainder of this year will be spent on trying to acquire pieces I can use going forward.
Looking at my current defense I already have 4 guys over 30yrs old who become UFA's at the end of this season. Why on earth would I want to trade away the half decent to good "young" talent I may have and in return get back even more 30+ yr old guys. Having 1 or 2 is OK, everyone has them but I cannot go forward with the majority of my D core in that age group.
If anyone wants to take them as rentals if you're heading into the playoffs, I'd be glad to work out deals to make that happen.
When I get contacted by others here with your offers, my initial thought is I want to try and help and not consider that someone might just be trying to take advantage of my current lack of knowledge. So far there has been one person who has been a great deal of help in answering my questions, and I appreciate that. I also know that the only way you learn is from making mistakes, which I will make my share of.
Please don't take this as a pissy rant, but if I don't stand up for myself now and share my thoughts I will continue to be the league doormat.
I'm already stuck with Getzlaf, Perry, Kessler for years to come and no way to show them the door. So all I can do is start to build a young core to take over.
Don't stop sending me your offers to make deals, just understand you won't be getting my 19-23yr olds for guys who are much older.
Had a look at your minor league guys and this is who I would have interest in since you brought up Gates/Fiore.

Juulsen I still have, but I've revamped most of my prospect pool. I considered your needs and thought Schlemko might be a good fit since he's under contract and 4/7 of your D are older and/or UFA after this season.
I don't consider Gates or Fiore to be anything special. My motive is just to get a fair value for Schlemko so I can make room to pick up another RHD.
That said, Juulsen probably isn't moving.
If you're looking for younger D/G options, I have Morrow and Fucale that might be a consideration. Both players have been slow to develop and haven't had a steady NHL role yet, but both are former high draft picks. If you want to take a chance on one of them?
Up to you and no pressure. Not the players I came here to offer, just the best thing I have available based on what you're looking for.
As for McCarron, I traded him to Carolina and now he's made his way to you I guess. If you want to know if a team still has a player, bring up their team page and use control F to search for that player on the page so you don't have to read through every trade to look for them.

I'd be fine with taking Sclemko in a deal, but would you be willing to take back one of my cheap expiring Dmen? (Beauchemin or Holden or Quincey)
