Spooner auction: minimum starting bid = any 2018 2nd

Rules: auction ends May 3rd 11:59pm
Only 2018 picks count
Only b or better prospects count: to be a b prospect a player must have been drafted in the first 3 rounds or a late pick who has risen dramatically since being drafted.
I hold sole discretion of value judging unless a case of very similar value which would indicate a tie. In result of a tie, the person who offered that value first is declared winner. Any bid that meets the starting criteria can win if not outbid. He will be sold to highest bidder even if only one bid is established as long as the starting criteria of a 2018 2nd has been met or exceeded.

The fact is that you attacked me and you didn't have your facts straight which makes you a liar. You made a rant about how you offered me this great deal, but you didn't. You got people on your side falsely which makes you fraudulent. YOU WERE WRONG FOR WHAT YOU DID!

I dp accept your apology, but dude you gotta realize you're offering me ****. Spooner has a history of sucking **** at face-offs and being out of place defensively..... both which lead his ass to meet with the bench. He resolved that this year by switching to winger. He's had very little problems all year and at the very end he got a little "soft" which he does time to time. It was like a 2 or 3 game stretch and then we went for Rick Nash because he fits 10x better with David Krejci. We weren't casting Spooner off because he sucks.... Bruce Cassidy even said we'd miss what Spooner brought, but that the deal made the team better which I won't deny it as doing. Krejci has a history of raising himself as well as those around him when he plays with 2 tough power forwards. He led the playoffs in scoring 2 different times like that. I'm not going to trade Spooner for your garbage offers man, it ain't happening.

Before you get upset, this is a serious offer, and I''l provide stats and facts to help my case as I know you like that.

So I'm prepared to offer you RHD Jared Spurgeon
What I'd be asking in return is 2018 1st + 2019 1st(PIT) & 3rd(STL)

Here's my thinking why I would ask for that price.

Spurgeon has TWICE as many points as McQuaid, Carlo, Miller....combined, and and if you add in Chara he comes up 3 points shy of all 4.
So out of your entire top 6, Spurgeaon is producing 3 points less than 4 of them combined.

If you hate the offer that's OK, I just wanted to take a shot.

He's 5.25m.... the money taken off was to get rid of Beleskey's 1.9 retention that didn't happen for me. I got rid of Beleskey at 3.8M so I didn't have to take his hit, but this Armchair had Beleskey's 50% hit programmed in.

The price for Krug is an upgrade. I can add a 1st+ to him for a better or younger more 2 way defenseman. I'm not going to undersell him though because he's an elite pmd that can handle 20 mins a night.

I'd need something else. I've created enough room to keep Spooner long term and I think he'll be as good as Nash over the next 3 seasons or better points wise and after that time period Spooner will be 29 and Nash will be 36. Subban also has more upside than Khudobin and could eventually become Vegas' starter where Khudobin likely resigns as a backup in Boston. It's a nice thought to get those guys back on the team, but I prefer to keep the younger players unless I got something good enough to offset the age difference.

Thats a pretty good offer, but I'm asking a 3rd for Vatrano so that = the 2019 CBJ 3rd and I like Subban more than Korpisalo. I don't really want to do that deal unless you increased your offer, even though Korpisalo is a nice piece.

He's 5.25m. The maneuvering in cap hit was to offset Beleskey's retention in real life of 1.9M which didn't happen on here. I asked Icegirl how to erase the hit and she recommended adjusting Torey Krug down 1.9M and writing in that his actual salary is 5.25m in this game. Krug is really 5.25M. I hope I explained the situation right....

Theres no deal to be made then. I'm not trading Spooner for Nash straight up as Nash costs more and is 7 years older. Cap space and the future are very important to me, so it's not even in consideration now that I've moved Beleksey. I don't need to bring in someone I won't resign to increase cap space now I already have the cap I need even while keeping Spooner.
