Description

Calgary needs to move on from Johnny. He is an exciting, electric player with obvious high end skill. But he is not a 'Calgary' player. As a Flames fan I can not stand watching him shake his hands when slashed, complain to the refs, get thrown around like a rag doll in the corner, pushed off the puck on the boards etc. etc, and I don't think he is a good leader for our young guns moving up. I think we can get a great haul for him out east and send him close to home where he is revered from his college days and would become an instant hometown hero. Lets see your honest respectful trades out East. Cheers.

I think your crazy to trade him. But how does Saad, Forsling and the hawks 2018 1st round pick (Probably top 10) sound?

NJ can move on from Zacha or M.McLeod+Santini+a 1st if it means gettin Gaudreau in his hometown.

I don't think BOS gives up anything for him. Great player and fun to watch, but we have a ton of young cost controlled wingers in the system. DeBrusk (while not Johnny Hockey) has looked great w/ Krejci on the 2nd line and I imagine that is where you'd be him.

It's definitely the guy in 7th in league scoring that's the problem with Calgary, not the fact that their bottom 6 forwards have only 39 goals in 70 games, or that their 2nd and 3rd D pairings are getting dominated on a nightly basis. But Johnny doesn't like getting slashed in the hands and missing a month like he did last year, so let's trade him. That's the only logical solution.

Not sure why but for Johnny Hockey from MTL: Gally+ Petry (two cost Control guy: Top6F + Top4D) for him... if maybe you prefer Pacioretty :-)

Gotta love the "our best players are the problem" attitude. Hey maybe if the Flames trade Gaudreau they can get a playmaker and top 10 scorer, oh wait that's what Gaudreau is. If you think a player with 79 points is the problem, then you're sorely mistaken.

Would love to bring Johnny Hockey in considering he loves Philly sports and has said he wants to play for the Flyers some day. Depends on what you'd think was a fair return though. So what would you be looking for? I'm thinking something like a 1st, 2nd, Morin, and Laberge.

No, the Flames aren't about to trade their best game changing player who is a Top 10 scorer in the league and on an incredible contract for the long-term.
