Omg this is terrible. Your really undervaluing Eichel here, when he reaches his prime he’s easily a top 10 Center, sure he’s no McDavid and won’t be putting up 100 points at 20 years old but give him time and he could be a 80-90 point guy in the future.

Help the Sabres reach the floor? Look at their lineup, they are nowhere near the floor due to holding some bad contracts.

This trade just doesnt fit these teams. Detroit wants picks and a reset nit trading a good prospect and 2 1st rounders.

Not even close in Value. Try Eichel for 3 firsts, Hronek, and Larkin. VGK pick being around 20th, and Detroit pick being 5th.

laugh laugh Neither team does this, Buffalo isn't giving up their franchise player in Jack Eichel for scrubs and yes Helm and Nielsen are pretty much scrubs now. And Svechnikov isn't going anywhere hoping to draft his brother at either #2 or #3 Detroit is in no position to be dealing a potential top 4 pick if it is a top 4 pick they receive here. Doubt either Helm or Nielsen would waive for Buffalo any ways so this deal isn't happening on several fronts.

Thank you very much. I forgot to check Helm's and Nielson's contracts before inserting them in the trade. IDK the talent of the possible 4th OA I did not think it would be in the Eichel level. I guess when I make a pretend trade I am more interested with the over all exchange value rather than the likelihood of the trade. I would think taking on 2 bad contracts (as you said scrubs) 2 1st and a good prospect would actually be too little for Eichel, but from you comment I gather you think it may be too much? So if you would be so kind please give me your feed back not based on the probability of a trade but rather on the exchange of assets. Again thank you very much.

Honestly Detroit doesn't have the pieces to land a player of Jack Eichels talent, And if we did we would've to gut the farm to do so, So it would never happen. It sounds like Jack Hughes next year is very similar to Eichel and hopefully Detroit can draft him next summer and have their own Eichel top player. As far as whom might get taken at #4 overall i guess it just depends on the team we all assume that #1 is Dahlin #2 Svechnikov/Zadina #3 Zadina/Svechnikov #4 Boqvist/Tkachuk more then likely like i say just depends on the team at #4 and their needs Detroit probably takes Boqvist in that instance. One would assume that if Detroit were hypothetically trading for Eichel Detroit would need to deal one of Larkin/Mantha+Rasmussen/Cholowski for starters and still add just doubt we can afford to do that.

OK, thank you very much. TBH I posted for the Sabres trading every one for picks and prospects and starting the rebuild from scratch. IMO, if Buffalo could do poorly again next year as you said they could get another Eichel and young players to surround him. Helm and Neilson's contracts expire just about when the sabres will need cap space so I though DET was a good trading partner. What about O'Reilly, considered a good two way player, what would be a good offer for him?

Honestly i really like Ryan O'Reilly but really don't see a fit for him in Detroit, Reportedly if Rasmussen makes the team this fall. He'll probably be moved to wing for next season but Ken Holland still wants him eventually at C so in the future i see Larkin being our #1C and Rasmussen being our #2C So O'Reilly would be a very expensive #3C in Detroit more then likely.

Yeah, a cool little bar on Allen
Sucks to have to say this (again)...
but it should be an interesting off season for the Sabres
Are we ever gonna be good?!

We are built wrong. Gonna take time. Slow up front and not much talent on d. It shocks me how bad we pass as a team. So many tape to skate passes. See if botterill can find some help on d, should be able to find wingers in ufa or the draft to help score. And mittlestadt soon i hope.

Thank you very much. Great conversation, so often I get this terrible feed back that tells me nothing, you were very thoughtful, on point, honest, respectful and courteous. That is much appreciated. As I said, I had posted a Sabre site that traded, Eichel, ROR, Lehner and Okpose for prospects and picks (I kept Reinhart, I think he plays to his capabilities when Eichel is not on the team, which is far better then Eichel is on the team). Then I took each of those trades and posted them on the teams respective sites and most of the feed back thought (really not much different from yours, except you did not want to give up the high 1st nor Svechikov) that the Sabres were getting the short end of the deal but the deals would probably not happen. BTW I ended up with 7 firsts and 4 seconds over the next 2 years, and in addition to Svechnikov other pretend GM's were happy to give me Sonny Milano and Brock Nelson. So I think I ended with decent prospect, a decent team (with Helm and Nielson as well) and a GREAT future.
