So we complain about the unrealistic abundance of trades in both v1 and v2. Now we complain about the lack of trades in v3.....

It's not everyone's fault that all the people without trades, traded with each other in the first month 5+ times. I wouldn't expect it to pick up much either since most assets on your teams have been moved already. It's probably going to be this way until the rankings start pumping out - you know like IRL almost lol. Once teams start to sell again it will be interesting but everyone is buyers because we all have a chance right now.

then sell... I'm always open to trade. If they are realistic I can work with you. I just have been getting spammed with terrible Provorov or Couturier offers for a month now sooo idk what to do without being a d**k anymore - I've lost patience with that stuff. Or the extended "negotiation." I prefer people to send me something that resembles their best offer. Not something with 25-year-old AHLers labeled as "prospects" to which we talk for 2+ weeks just trying to get a deal into the realm of possibility and then part ways and never speak of it again.

It's the same problem. v3 has been full of trades. Way more trades than we'd ever see in one year in real life. And because of that, teams don't have any trades left for the offseason. Am i not making trades that i think are good for the team just to be 'realistic'? No, i'm making trades if i think they make sense. But i'm not making deals 'just to make deals'. In all 3 games, we have seen a TON of trades. But that's something that won't really change. And as much as i don't like it that much, it's not a big deal. Except for the fact that all the trades are gone and teams can't make trades they want to, because they've used them all up.

The problem is that at the start of the game, there are too many trades, but once all the offseason trades are gone, some people can't make trades they want to make.

If every team only made 5ish trades a year (Probably more than IRL Average) the game would still be boring. This isn't real life, we don't have to act as if its real life, it's all for fun.

If someone chooses to use all their trades early though, that's fine. It's their own problem if they later miss out on a trade they really want to make because they've used up all their trades. It can get annoying when discussing something and then the person you might have a deal with says, "I'll do it in September when i can trade again." However, if you want to do the deal right at that time, you can try and find someone else to do it with. If you're out of offseason trades already, that was your own choice to use them up early.

Another thing is though, if someone is out of trades for the offseason, should they really be allowed to make a 'deal' that a trade will be made on September 1st? IMO both teams would need to confirm it later. Otherwise why have an offseason trade limit?

I know. I'm just saying that if someone wants to make 12 trades all right at the start of the game, then it can get boring also because then they're out of trades. I agree with you on that.

Not sure how the BOG and such would feel about it.
But I would be interested to see how everyone feels about an idea where if you pay a penalty you can have use an additional trade, for people who have maxed.
The penalty would need to be somewhat harsh however.

I don't think it should be draft pick loss, because especially with the new NMC rule, we could see way too many draft picks forfeited.
