You should care. If your team knew about the situation prior to it becoming public they should have traded Hoffman. This trade shows the continued downward and perhaps demise of the Senators

Bergman may have a chance in Ottawa. Sharks just picked up wood from Arizona, Bergman got pushed out. This doesn’t look like it will help OTTs rebuild unless Bergman finds himself there

Everyone knows Ottawa is a tire fire from a PR perspective, but look at all of those bad contracts:

Gaborik: 3 more years
Bobby Ryan: 4 more years
Boedker: 2 more years

Sucks for good players like Stone. He obviously wants to get paid, but winning certainly isn't in his horizon. Now let's see where Karlsson goes...

you are correct. I SHOULD care. they SHOULD have traded him before it came out. but here we are.

I can honestly not believe how quickly and how toxic that situation grew in Ottawa that all they basically got in return for Hoffman, which would have netted them a pretty little package at the deadline, a less expensive veteran contract placeholder for the lineup.
