It’ll take more than Strome and a first to get Nylander... if you added Pool party to the deal Toronto might show some interest.

they are not gonna do that because nylander and Matthew's will play with each other most if not there whole Career and hyman is just that special player that does not have the flash to his game but can change a game I just dont think leafs can give these guys up for that

Is Toronto actually faced with a “cap situation”? I imagine the Nylander contract holdup is more about term than anything. If, for some reason they want to use Willy as a trade chip, maybe send him to Buffalo with Liljegren for Ristolainen and one of their 3 ‘19 firsts.

As an oilers fan, it hurts that you think they'd give up Nylander for that. Honestly if the leafs were to ever shop nylander, I think Larsson would have to be coming back, and quite a bit more... It wouldn't make sense for Edmonton to do that

Dubas already put out that he will sign all three of the guys. Plus Toronto would need a top4 top2 stay at home defender that can play with Rielly or Gardiner. Gotta love these crazy trades during the summer lol

Any time I could get a 1st from Edmonton I would because it always has a chance to be #1 overall. But this value is off. Also Nylander isn't signing for $6 mil a year in Toronto. You would have a tough time getting him to commit in Edmonton for 8 years.

leafs don't have cap situation. looking at the your oilers roster you sure do. right at the cap, short term players, full performance bonus carryover into next year.

no, the leafs are fine this year and next year for cap. if nylander was ever to traded it would be for help on defence not an inferior forward.

Yep, that’s what I said. I must say I don’t know who all is in their system for a potential Nylander replacement (Bracco?). The Marlins won the Calder Cup last year and have a great coach so TML should have able bodies within, allowing WN to fetch a solid top 4 RHD, say.

I don't even think Edmonton can do this deal. It leaves them with a 21 man roster and no cap space.
